Disney Orders Immediate and Indefinite Removal of Main Street, U.S.A. Staple
Another familiar Disney Parks staple has disappeared from Main Street, U.S.A.
Main Street, U.S.A. is deliberately packed with old-fashioned Americana, from turn-of-the-century storefronts to candy counters and ice cream parlors. At Disney’s U.S. resorts, both Disneyland Park and Magic Kingdom still operate dedicated ice cream shops along their versions of Main Street.
The same formula extends overseas. Disneyland Paris’ Main Street, U.S.A. includes two separate ice cream locations, alongside restaurants including Casey’s Corner, Walt’s — an American Restaurant, and Victoria’s Home Style Restaurant.
One of those ice cream shops has now been removed from operations indefinitely.
Disney Closes The Ice Cream Company Until Further Notice
The Ice Cream Company at Disneyland Park in Paris closed on September 28 and will remain unavailable until further notice, according to reports from Disneyland Paris news source PixieDust DLP.
The resort has not announced a reopening date or explained publicly why the Main Street, U.S.A. location has been taken out of operation.

The closure follows several weeks of reduced operations.
Beginning September 7, The Ice Cream Company and neighboring The Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlour reportedly switched from their regular summer schedules to weekend only operations. The Ice Cream Company then shut indefinitely on September 28.
The Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlour was expected to remain available during October, although its exact operating schedule remained unclear when the changes were first reported.
No permanent closure has been announced for either venue.
The resort describes The Ice Cream Company as a Market Street stop for a “tasty sweet treat,” while Gibson Girl serves multiple Carte d’Or ice cream flavors.
That makes the current shutdown particularly notable. The Ice Cream Company has not been scrubbed from Disneyland Paris’ broader dining lineup, but guests visiting the Disney park cannot currently order from the location.
Main Street, U.S.A. Loses One of Its Two Ice Cream Stops
The Ice Cream Company sits just off Disneyland Park’s main thoroughfare on Market Street, one of the smaller side streets branching away from Main Street, U.S.A.
Disney specifically highlights Market Street as home to Harrington’s Fine China & Porcelains, The Coffee Grinder, and The Ice Cream Company, making the venue part of the land’s wider collection of themed restaurants and shops.
Its indefinite closure leaves Gibson Girl as the other dedicated ice cream parlor on Main Street once that location is operating.
The setup echoes Disney’s American castle parks. Magic Kingdom operates Plaza Ice Cream Parlor on Main Street, U.S.A., where Disney currently advertises hand-scooped ice cream, waffle bowl sundaes, floats, and milkshakes.
Disneyland Resort in California similarly has the Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlor on its Main Street, U.S.A. The location serves Dreyer’s ice cream, sundaes, cones, floats, and waffle cups.
Disneyland Paris has not connected the French closure to any wider change in its approach to Main Street dining.
The timing does coincide with the resort moving into its fall schedule. Disneyland Paris is currently operating its Halloween season through November 1, while several attractions and dining locations are also temporarily unavailable around the resort.
