A New Version of Disney World Could Be Coming Soon
Walt Disney World Resort has spent decades establishing itself as one of the most recognizable vacation destinations in the world. From Magic Kingdom and EPCOT to Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom, the Florida resort has become almost synonymous with the state itself.
But could another version of Disney World soon be coming to Florida? Yes, but not the real one.

Grand Theft Auto VI could potentially have an unexpected connection to Disney World. Rockstar Games’ next blockbuster is set in Leonida, its fictional version of Florida, and fans have long speculated that the game could include a parody of Orlando’s famous theme park resorts.
Now, some of the rumors surrounding that potential Disney World-inspired location are becoming particularly interesting.
One name that has repeatedly surfaced is “Fairyland Forest.” The name reportedly appeared in early GTA VI development material, including references to a “Fairyland Forest Puzzle” and “Abandoned Bumper Cars.” That led fans to speculate that Rockstar could be creating its own twisted take on the theme park industry.

Per the rumors, the location has also been associated with the northern part of Leonida, potentially putting it closer to where a fictional Orlando would sit on the game’s enormous Florida-inspired map.
Importantly, none of this has been confirmed by Rockstar Games. “Fairyland Forest” remains purely speculative, while fan-made mapping projects have attempted to determine exactly where the location could fit within Leonida. Some theories have suggested that it could represent a Disney World-style resort, while others believe it could be something much smaller or entirely unrelated to Disney.
Whether players will actually be able to visit a full-scale Disney World parody when GTA VI arrives remains a mystery. But if Rockstar really has built its own theme park somewhere in North Leonida, Disney fans may soon have a very different kind of vacation destination to explore.
And yes, it probably won’t be nearly as wholesome as the real thing. That said, Disney Parks attendance could see a drop with many choosing to stay at home to play the new game when it releases in November.
Grand Theft Auto VI releases on November 19.
