That distinction could matter considerably during the attraction’s opening days. If the reported procedure remains in place, guests interested in Olaf Draws! may need to physically reach the experience before securing a place, creating the possibility of an old-fashioned rope-drop rush for availability.
Disney has not published the in-person virtual queue procedure on its official website as of September 10. Accordingly, the queue requirement should be treated as reported rather than officially confirmed until Walt Disney World publishes operating details or the attraction begins regular operations.
Olaf Draws! Virtual Queue Could Change the Morning Strategy
The unusual part isn’t that Disney might use a virtual queue. It’s where guests reportedly have to be before they can join it.

For opening week, the potential consequence is obvious. Guests who consider the drawing class a priority may head directly toward The Magic of Disney Animation after entering Disney’s Hollywood Studios, particularly if availability is limited.
That doesn’t mean guests should literally run through the park, nor does it guarantee a morning “stampede.” Disney has not announced how many sessions will operate daily, how quickly the waitlist could fill, or whether additional availability might be released later. Those unknowns will determine whether this becomes a minor logistical wrinkle or a genuine rope-drop pressure point.

Possible characters include Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Genie, Moana, Stitch, Olaf, Ursula, and Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde. Which lesson guests receive can vary.

Disney has not said that the format was introduced as a labor-saving measure, and there is no basis to characterize Olaf Draws! as an artificial-intelligence experience.
