Rack rates at Walt Disney World are the starting point, not the price most people should pay.
Discounts drop in waves, cover specific date ranges, and are hit differently by resort tier. Book before an offer lands, and you are often leaving hundreds on the table for the same room.
Walt Disney World has released a room-only discount for Spring 2027, covering select nights from January 3 through April 29. Savings go up to 25 percent.
The Date Structure Matters Most
Two windows, and they are not equal:
- February 28 to April 29, 2027, higher discount, most nights
- January 3 to February 25, 2027, lower discount, most Sundays through Thursday nights only
That Sunday through Thursday restriction is the catch. Weekend stays in January and most of February are out, which kills this for long-weekend trips.
The spring window has both the better percentage and weekend availability.

Almost all deluxe and Disney Vacation Club. Higher rack rates leave more room to discount, and 25 percent off a Grand Floridian night is a much bigger number than 25 percent off a value room.

The Polynesian sitting here instead of the top tier is a little surprising for a deluxe monorail resort. Demand has held strong since Island Tower opened, so Disney appears to feel less pressure to discount it.

Three Things Worth Knowing
Run the actual numbers. A deluxe at 25 percent off can land closer to a moderate at 20 percent than people expect, especially in the spring window. Do not assume value is automatically cheapest.
Art of Animation appears twice. Family Suites get 20 percent. Standard Rooms get 15. Same resort, different discount, so check your room type.
Compare against packages. This is room-only, so it does not touch tickets. Disney also released savings on room and ticket packages, and Disney Visa Cardmembers have a separate offer. Depending on trip length and ticket needs, a package could beat the headline percentage.
