One of Magic Kingdom’s longtime western-themed locations is preparing for another major change.
The Diamond Horseshoe has spent decades as a familiar part of the Liberty Square and Frontierland area, even as Disney repeatedly changed what guests could find inside.
Its latest transformation may be one of the most noticeable yet.
Traditional table-service dining ended earlier in 2026, and Disney temporarily turned the building into the home of Jessie’s Roundup for Cool KIDS’ SUMMER.
Now, Disney has revealed what will replace the restaurant’s previous dining experience this fall.
The Old Diamond Horseshoe Experience Isn’t Returning
Before its 2026 changes, The Diamond Horseshoe offered a family-style meal closely associated with nearby Liberty Tree Tavern.
That meant guests could step inside the Old West-inspired dining room for a large comfort-food feast.
Disney paused that operation beginning May 16 as it prepared the building for Jessie’s Roundup.
Once the summer experience ended, however, Disney wouldn’t simply restore The Diamond Horseshoe’s previous menu.
Instead, a new limited-time food and beverage pop-up will open October 4.
Reservations become available September 29, with walk-up availability planned as well.
Disney Is Introducing an All-New Menu
The replacement shifts The Diamond Horseshoe away from its previous family-style format and toward smaller, shareable dishes.
Guests will be able to order glazed sticky ribs with cowboy beans and jalapeño crisps or queso fundido topped with barbecue burnt ends.
Sweet golden corn fritters come with cilantro ranch and red chili honey, while another dish pairs a chipotle chicken tostada with queso fresco, lime crema, and pickled cactus salsa.
Charcuterie and a mini hot dog platter complete the small-plate lineup.
Disney is also putting plenty of attention on drinks.
Four specialty non-alcoholic beverages are coming alongside a sizable cocktail selection. The menu includes whiskey, tequila, vodka, rum, and bourbon-based creations, along with wine and three draft beer selections.
It’s a much different identity for a restaurant that had essentially shared its dining concept with Liberty Tree Tavern.

Another Change for This Side of Magic Kingdom
The Diamond Horseshoe announcement comes during an unusually transformative period for this part of Magic Kingdom.
Disney is already making major changes around Frontierland as it prepares for Piston Peak National Park.
Unlike other longtime locations that have disappeared as part of those plans, The Diamond Horseshoe isn’t being demolished.
Disney is giving the existing location another purpose instead.
There is also no guarantee that this will be its final form.
Disney specifically describes the new offering as a limited-time pop-up and hasn’t announced when it will end. That could give the company flexibility to change the restaurant again later.
For guests visiting this fall, though, the immediate future is clear.
The Diamond Horseshoe’s former dining experience is being replaced, and a new version will officially welcome guests beginning October 4.
