Disneyland Paris is preparing to shorten operating hours at both of its theme parks beginning September 7, 2026, reducing the amount of regular park time available to weekday visitors. Disneyland Park and Disney Adventure World are scheduled to close at 9 p.m. Monday through Friday, one hour earlier than the 10 p.m. closing time currently scheduled through September 6.
The adjustment is particularly important for guests who have already planned September vacations around long days inside the parks. Weekend visitors fare better: current published schedules show 10 p.m. closings on Saturdays and Sundays. September 7, it should be noted, is a Monday, not Sunday, as stated in the initial source material.
Disneyland Paris Park Hours Drop Beginning September 7
The change follows another reduction earlier this summer. As Inside the Magic previously reported on Disneyland Paris operating hours, both parks moved to 10 p.m. closings beginning August 8. The September schedule now takes another hour away from most weekday operating days.
Published September schedules show both parks operating from 9:30 a.m. until 10 p.m. from September 1 through September 6. Beginning Monday, September 7, the weekday schedule changes to 9:30 a.m. until 9 p.m., while Saturdays and Sundays remain scheduled from 9:30 a.m. until 10 p.m.
That translates into 11.5 hours of regular operation on affected weekdays, compared with 12.5 hours under the 10 p.m. schedule. For guests trying to divide their time between attractions, restaurants, character experiences and entertainment, an hour can make a noticeable difference.
Nighttime Entertainment Makes the Earlier Closures More Complicated
Disneyland Paris currently has a major nighttime production in each park. Disneyland Park hosts Disney Tales of Magic, while Disney Adventure World presents Disney Cascade of Lights over Adventure Bay.
Disney confirms that Disney Tales of Magic is presented every evening and advises guests to check the Disneyland Paris app because performance times can vary by date and conditions. Disney also notes that guests should enter the park before closing time because park entry can end before the nighttime spectacular begins.
ED92 reports that, under the upcoming schedule, Disney Tales of Magic is set for 9 p.m., while Disney Cascade of Lights is listed for 8:50 p.m. That latter timing requires additional verification, however. Disneyland Paris’ official Disney Cascade of Lights information currently says Cascade takes place at the same time as Disney Tales of Magic and directs guests to the app for date-specific schedules.
Disney Adventure World Makes Every Evening Hour More Valuable
The shorter hours arrive during a particularly significant year for Disneyland Paris. On March 29, the resort transformed Walt Disney Studios Park into Disney Adventure World, a major overhaul that introduced World of Frozen, Adventure Way and new nighttime entertainment. That expansion makes an operating-hours reduction especially noticeable. Visitors have more new experiences competing for the same vacation time, including World of Frozen and the expanded areas surrounding Adventure Bay.

The practical consequence isn’t that Disneyland Paris suddenly becomes an abbreviated experience. It is that weekday visitors beginning September 7 have one fewer regular operating hour than guests visiting during the first six days of September.
That matters most for guests who traditionally save major attractions for late evening, return to their hotel during the afternoon, or expect to fit both rides and nighttime entertainment into a packed schedule. A 9 p.m. closing compresses those plans.
The change also follows months of shifting nighttime operations. Earlier in 2026, Disneyland Paris adjusted its nighttime spectacular schedule, while summer heat restrictions later forced temporary changes to pyrotechnic elements. Guests traveling in September should check the official Disneyland Paris app close to their visit rather than relying solely on an itinerary created weeks earlier. Disney explicitly states that nighttime show schedules can vary, and entertainment can be modified because of operational conditions, maintenance or weather.
For now, the clearest change begins Monday, September 7: Disneyland Park and Disney Adventure World move from 10 p.m. to 9 p.m. weekday closings, with 10 p.m. hours retained on weekends according to currently published schedules. The reduction is only an hour, but for guests building an expensive Disneyland Paris vacation around every available park hour, it is an hour worth planning around.
