Disneyland Hotel Infrastructure Affected by Recent Leak, Report Confirms
The refurbishment of the iconic guest pathway under the Disneyland Hotel wrapped up earlier this month. Unfortunately, the celebration was short-lived when a leak was discovered in the same area the construction crew had just vacated.
A Refurbishment Complete, a Problem Revealed

The walkway beneath the iconic Disneyland Hotel at Disneyland Paris Resort serves as the primary entrance to Disneyland Park for guests staying at or passing through the Victorian-style resort. Throughout 2026, the passage was filled with construction walls, scrim, and barriers as Disneyland Paris Resort carried out a refurbishment of the tunnel and its ticket booths — a project that made the walk to the park a noticeably less magical experience for months.
On August 11, the barriers finally came down. Pixie Dust DLP confirmed the completion on Facebook, sharing images of the restored walkway:

The photos showed a grand Victorian passage that looked significantly better than it had in months, and the story should have ended there…
What the Photos Also Showed

On the same day the construction walls came down, X (formerly known as Twitter) user @DLPReport shared three photos from the tunnel that told a different story. Alongside the freshly revealed refurbished surfaces, a recycling bin surrounded by stanchions sat on the floor of the passage collecting water dripping from above — a leak that apparently emerged, or was discovered, as the construction phase concluded. Guests were walking past the improvised drip-catcher on their way into Disneyland Park.

What caused the leak — whether it predated the refurbishment, resulted from it, or stems from a separate infrastructure issue — hasn’t been explained. Disneyland Paris Resort did not respond to the post and has issued no public statement about the situation. Whether the leak has since been addressed is unknown.

The Disneyland Hotel remains open, and the walkway beneath it continues to serve as the main guest pathway to Disneyland Park.
