Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party doesn’t officially begin until August 7, but guests arriving at Magic Kingdom Park on Monday morning discovered that the fall season had already started, whether the calendar agreed or not.

On Monday, WDWNT reported that Walt Disney World Resort cast members had quietly worked through the night between August 2 and 3 to install the first wave of fall decorations at Magic Kingdom Park. Orange, yellow, and red bunting now lines the facade of the Main Street, U.S.A., train station at the park’s front entrance.

Carved jack-o’-lanterns have also been mounted above both walkways passing beneath the Walt Disney World Railroad station. The display features pumpkins in varying sizes and colors, each etched with Mickey Mouse silhouettes, with the full arrangement spelling out “See Ya Real Soon!” across the arch.

What’s visible now is just the beginning. Additional bunting and carved pumpkins are expected to fill out the rest of Main Street, U.S.A., heading toward Cinderella Castle over the next several days. The iconic Mickey Mouse head pumpkin lights and autumn leaf wreaths that typically line Main Street, U.S.A., light posts, and wrap around the castle hub haven’t appeared yet but are expected to arrive imminently.

Four Days Before the Party Begins

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party opens Friday, August 7, kicking off a season of after-hours Halloween events at Magic Kingdom Park that runs through October 31, 2026. Multiple dates are already completely sold out, including opening night and Halloween itself, so anyone without tickets for a remaining date should check availability soon.

The party brings trick-or-treating stations around the Magic Kingdom, the rare opportunity for guests of all ages to arrive in costume, Mickey’s Boo-to-You Halloween Parade, the Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular, Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular fireworks over Cinderella Castle, themed food and beverages, and exclusive merchandise. New entertainment for 2026 includes a Tomorrowland masquerade inspired by Lilo & Stitch (2002).
