Child’s Horrifying Fall From Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Seen in Newly Released Footage
A routine day at a Disney park turned into something far more alarming on Sunday.
Disney attractions are designed with strict safety procedures, extensive ride monitoring, and multiple layers of guest protection. Even so, incidents can occur when guests fail to follow instructions or leave ride vehicles before an attraction has come to a complete stop.

In recent years, Disney parks have dealt with several situations involving guests entering restricted areas or exiting attractions during operations. Such incidents often trigger immediate ride shutdowns and inspections before normal service can resume.
Now, newly released footage has revealed the frightening moments surrounding an incident on Tiana’s Bayou Adventure that sent a young guest to the hospital.
New Video Shows Dramatic Disney Ride Incident
The incident occurred on June 21 at Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California, where a 13-year-old guest exited a log vehicle on Tiana’s Bayou Adventure before the attraction had ended. According to Disneyland officials, a cast member immediately stopped the ride after the guest left the vehicle.

The teenager then continued along part of the attraction before being assisted by cast members. As a precaution, he was transported to a local hospital, evaluated, and later released. The Anaheim Fire Department also responded to the scene.
Earlier reports from witnesses suggested the boy may have gone down the attraction’s climactic final drop, but newly released footage appears to show exactly what happened.
TMZ obtained video showing the teenager tumbling down the attraction’s famous drop after leaving the log vehicle. The outlet reported that the guest “hopped out mid-ride and [fell] down the famous 50-foot waterfall.”

Witnesses who discussed the incident online said the ride was stopped shortly afterward. One guest claimed their log was passing through the attraction when they saw the fall occur.
California’s Division of Occupational Safety and Health later inspected the attraction. Disneyland officials said the ride reopened after the inspection and resumed normal operations.
Attraction Reopened Following Inspection
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure opened at Disneyland in November 2024 as the replacement for Splash Mountain. The attraction is based on Disney’s animated film The Princess and the Frog and concludes with a dramatic drop of more than 50 feet.
The ride has quickly become one of Disneyland’s most popular attractions, regularly drawing lengthy wait times and serving as a centerpiece of Bayou Country, previously known as Critter Country.

Disneyland officials have not publicly indicated any mechanical issues with the attraction. Reports from both Disneyland and local authorities have consistently described the incident as involving a guest who exited the ride vehicle before the experience had concluded.
According to officials, the attraction was halted immediately after the guest left the log. After the inspection, state regulators cleared the ride to reopen.
The newly released footage has since spread widely online, drawing attention from Disney fans and theme park observers alike. Many have expressed shock that the teenager escaped serious injury after descending the attraction’s steep final drop.
Have you ever witnessed anything this wild at a Disney park?
