Disney’s Animal Kingdom is having a moment right now, and honestly, it feels very different from the version of the park fans were visiting just a couple of years ago.

Guests were showing off the massive brownie base, thick vanilla ice cream layer, edible cookie dough topping, and piles of chocolate chips all across TikTok and Instagram.
And unlike some viral Disney snacks, people genuinely seemed to love this one after actually trying it.

That matters because Disney fans have become a lot pickier about viral food over the last few years. Plenty of desserts look great online but end up disappointing once guests finally buy them in the parks. This one seems to have avoided that problem completely.
Now Disney has expanded the dessert to another Discovery Island ice cream location near Island Mercantile, giving guests a second place to grab the popular treat.
Honestly, this probably became necessary.
Animal Kingdom is dealing with heavier crowds now thanks to Bluey Wild World bringing in large numbers of families with younger children. Historically, Animal Kingdom struggled to keep guests in the park all day. Many people treated it like a morning park before hopping elsewhere later.
Bluey Wild World is changing that pattern.
Families are spending more time inside Animal Kingdom now, especially during the afternoon hours when crowds used to thin out considerably. More guests staying longer means more pressure on quick-service restaurants, snack carts, seating areas, and cold treats during the brutal Florida heat.
Disney clearly knows the park needs more crowd distribution options.

It also helps Disney capitalize on something that has become incredibly important inside the parks: viral food culture.
Guests now actively plan snack stops before they even arrive on vacation. Disney food has become part of the entertainment experience itself. The company understands that a successful viral snack can become almost as valuable as a merchandise item or even a small attraction.
And with Bluey Wild World continuing to pull massive family crowds into Animal Kingdom this summer, Disney probably wants as many reliable crowd-friendly offerings as possible.
