Disney World Confirms Saratoga Springs Closure Lasting Through September 2026
A long-running refurbishment project at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa is now set to continue through late September 2026, and Disney World guests staying at the resort this summer could see months of operational disruptions because of it.
Disney recently updated the closure schedule for The Turf Club Bar & Grill and The Turf Club Lounge, confirming that parts of the project will now last longer than originally expected.
While Disney World constantly rotates refurbishments throughout its resorts, this particular closure is drawing attention because of how long it stretches across the summer travel season.

For many Disney Vacation Club members, Saratoga Springs is more than just another hotel. It has become one of the company’s most reliable repeat-visit resorts thanks to its quiet atmosphere, spacious rooms, golf course setting, and direct access to Disney Springs.
Now, though, one of the resort’s best-known dining spots will operate under limited conditions for much of the year.
The Turf Club Faces Months of Changes
The Turf Club has quietly developed a loyal following over the years.
Unlike some of Disney World’s louder or more heavily themed restaurants, The Turf Club built its reputation on being simple, comfortable, and relaxing. Guests often stop there after park days for steaks, cocktails, and quieter dining away from the heavy crowds found elsewhere across Walt Disney World.
That experience will look noticeably different throughout summer 2026.
Disney confirmed that The Turf Club Lounge closed in early May and will stay unavailable through late August. During that stretch, the main restaurant will continue operating with a modified menu and temporary pop-up bar service.
Then another closure phase begins.
The Turf Club patio will close for part of August before the main restaurant itself shuts down from late August through late September. Once that happens, the Lounge is expected to reopen while the restaurant portion remains unavailable.
The phased approach allows Disney to keep at least part of the location operational throughout the refurbishment process, though guests should still expect noticeable disruptions.
Disney Quietly Extends the Timeline
One reason the closure is getting attention online is because Disney slightly adjusted the original timeline.
Earlier plans suggested portions of the refurbishment would wrap up sooner. Instead, Disney extended the overall project into late September, meaning guests visiting during late summer and even early fall could still encounter construction-related impacts.
That timing matters because Saratoga Springs stays especially busy during summer vacation months.
Many guests book extended stays there because of the resort’s villa accommodations and Disney Vacation Club offerings. Others specifically choose Saratoga Springs for its calmer environment compared to resorts located closer to the parks.
The Turf Club has always been part of that slower-paced experience.
Because of that, some fans online admitted they were disappointed to hear the closure would continue for several more months.

Fans Hope Disney Does Not Overchange the Restaurant
Interestingly, much of the online conversation has not focused on the closure itself. Instead, many Disney fans seem more worried about what the refurbished version of The Turf Club might eventually become.
Disney has spent the past several years modernizing numerous resort restaurants and lounges across property. While some guests enjoy the updated looks, others feel certain locations have lost part of their original charm after renovations.
Several Saratoga Springs fans specifically said they hope Disney preserves the restaurant’s cozy atmosphere and quieter aesthetic.
That concern makes sense considering how much Disney World has changed recently.
Across property, Disney continues pushing large-scale updates, from the transformation of Frontierland at Magic Kingdom to ongoing changes at EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Resort refurbishments are happening alongside those projects as Disney prepares for future travel demand and continued competition with Universal Orlando Resort.
Even smaller projects now attract major attention from Disney fans who worry favorite locations could lose what originally made them special.
Saratoga Springs Guests Should Plan Ahead
For guests staying at Saratoga Springs between now and late September, planning ahead may become important.
Dining availability at Disney Springs can already become difficult during busy travel weeks, and reduced operations at The Turf Club may push more Saratoga Springs guests toward nearby restaurants.
Guests visiting during August may also encounter the largest disruptions as multiple portions of the project overlap.
Disney has not announced any additional closures at Saratoga Springs tied to this refurbishment, and the resort itself remains fully operational during the construction period.
Still, visitors hoping for the normal Turf Club experience may want to prepare for temporary menu changes, construction activity, and limited seating depending on when they visit.
For now, Disney appears committed to keeping portions of the dining location available while work continues. The bigger question many longtime Saratoga Springs fans have is whether the finished version will still feel like the same hidden gem they have loved for years.
