Disneyland Blocks Families From Iconic Sleeping Beauty Castle Photos

Guests visiting Disneyland Park this summer are getting a different kind of Sleeping Beauty Castle backdrop this season…but Disneyland Paris Resort is doing its best to make the construction walls a little easier to look at.

The white plywood barriers that went up around the Sleeping Beauty Castle bridge in early May have received a makeover. Disneyland Paris Resort has installed a themed scrim over the construction walls to preserve some of the magic for guests trying to capture the iconic castle in their vacation photos. X (formerly Twitter) user @DLPReport shared images of the updated walls on Thursday:

🔧 The Sleeping Beauty Castle bridge refurbishment walls have now been themed. It’s pretty well done, considering..

The scrim is expected to stay in place for the duration of the bridge refurbishment, which Disneyland Paris Resort has confirmed will run through late September 2026. Despite the construction presence, the castle itself remains accessible. Both the Sleeping Beauty Castle walkthrough and La Tanière du Dragon — The Lair of the Dragon — are open throughout the project via alternate entrances.

The castle bridge work is far from the only active project reshaping the Disneyland Park experience right now. On Main Street, U.S.A., plywood walls have appeared near a popcorn cart for reasons the park has yet to explain publicly. Closer to the park entrance, crews are putting the finishing touches on the Town Square Gazebo refurbishment, a project that has been underway since November 2025.

Further down Main Street, U.S.A., Plaza Gardens Restaurant remains closed through early 2027 for a significant reimagining. That closure has triggered its own set of guest-facing changes: the Baby Care Center has been relocated to the former Annual Passholder office near the park entrance, while First Aid has moved to a temporary structure in Discoveryland. The displacement of the Annual Passholder office also means that Disneyland Pass pop-up surprise events are on hold at that location for at least the next year.
