Latest Disney World Pricing Update Makes Dining With Kids More Expensive
Walt Disney World Resort is reaching into the pockets of families dining at one of its most coveted restaurants. Here’s everything Central Florida Disney Park guests need to know about the upcoming price increases at California Grill.
California Grill Raises the Price on Kids
Effective June 2, 2026, the children’s prix-fixe course at California Grill inside Disney’s Contemporary Resort will climb from $39 to $42. The $3 bump amounts to just under an 8% increase and applies exclusively to the kids’ menu; the adult prix-fixe course will stay put at $99.

The children’s course includes one entrée chosen from Grilled Steak, Seared Salmon, House-made Shells & Cheese, and Grilled Citrus-Glazed Chicken. Kids also select two sides from a list of Roasted Yukon Gold Potatoes, Goat Cheese Polenta, Steamed Green Beans, and Brown Basmati Rice, along with one dessert — Fresh Fruit, PB&J Mousse, or the Cookies & Cream Ice Cream Sandwich. Appetizers, including Hearts of Romaine and Chicken Noodle Soup, are priced separately à la carte.
Who Can Actually Order From the Kids’ Menu
At Walt Disney World Resort Table-Service restaurants with fixed pricing, the kids’ menu is available to guests aged nine and younger. Anyone who has hit double digits — ten and up — is treated as an adult for ordering purposes. On the other end of the spectrum, children aged three and younger eat free or share from a parent’s plate, so the price increase won’t touch the youngest guests at the table.

It’s worth noting that the kids’ menu age restriction applies specifically to fixed-price Table-Service settings like California Grill. At Quick-Service locations and certain à la carte Table-Service restaurants, guests of any age are welcome to order from the children’s menu.
A Restaurant That Already Sells Out Fast
The price adjustment arrives at a restaurant that rarely struggles to fill its tables. California Grill is one of the most in-demand dining reservations on Walt Disney World property, routinely booking out a full 60 days in advance — particularly for evening seatings, when diners can watch Magic Kingdom Park’s fireworks from the restaurant’s sweeping windows high atop Disney’s Contemporary Resort.

For families who have already been budgeting around a California Grill dinner, the updated kids’ pricing is worth factoring in before that 60-day booking window opens.
