Trying to budget for a Walt Disney World vacation has become a full strategy game lately. Between hotel costs, Lightning Lane purchases, airfare, and park tickets, many families are looking for any way possible to make the numbers work. That’s probably why Disney’s newest dining announcements for 2027 are getting so much attention right now.

Disney isn’t simply bringing back the same dining plans guests have seen for years. Instead, the company is rolling out three major dining updates for 2027 vacations, and they could completely change how some guests plan their trips.
The biggest addition is a brand-new premium dining tier called the Disney Deluxe Table-Service Dining Plan. This new option is aimed at guests who love sit-down meals, signature restaurants, and character dining experiences. Instead of offering one table-service meal per night like the standard plan, this upgraded version includes two table-service meals per night of stay, along with one quick-service meal, snacks, refillable mugs, and beverage options.
Disney is clearly leaning into the idea that dining has become one of the biggest parts of the vacation itself. A lot of families now schedule entire park days around reservations at places like Space 220, Cinderella’s Royal Table, or Chef Mickey’s. This new plan feels designed for travelers who prioritize those experiences over everything else.
Of course, there’s a catch: the price.
The new deluxe plan will cost more than $163 per adult per night in 2027. For larger families staying a full week, that number climbs very quickly. Still, there are guests who may actually save money if they already spend heavily on dining during their vacations.

Disney is also adding a second deal focused on families with younger children. Guests who purchase a vacation package with a dining plan will receive 20% off dining plans for kids ages 3 through 9. While it’s not quite as generous sounding as the old “Kids Eat Free” promotion, it still offers meaningful savings for parents trying to lower costs where they can.
The final offer is aimed at international travelers from the United Kingdom and Ireland. Disney is once again offering free dining plans for qualifying vacation packages booked for 2027 travel dates. These offers have historically been extremely popular overseas, especially with families booking longer Disney vacations.

All of this points to one thing: Disney sees dining as a massive part of the guest experience moving forward. Restaurants, lounges, snacks, festivals, and character meals are no longer just side activities. They’ve become one of the main reasons people visit in the first place.
And honestly, Disney probably knows guests are willing to spend more money on food experiences now than ever before.
