Disney World Removes More History From the Country Bear Jamboree
Teddi Barra is missing from the Country Bear Musical Jamboree at Magic Kingdom Park. For those keeping count, this is the third time in less than a year she’s failed to show up for her own performance.
The Bear Who Keeps Disappearing

In the original Country Bear Jamboree, Teddi Barra descended from the ceiling on a swing to sing “Heart, We Did All That We Could.” The 2024 retheme kept her central role intact. In the Country Bear Musical Jamboree, Teddi Barra, now voiced by Grammy winner Allison Russell, swings above the audience, delivering a country-style rendition of “A Whole New World” from Aladdin (1992).
But on April 21, WDWNT reported that she didn’t make the descent. During “A Whole New World,” her ceiling hatch stayed shut. Her voice could be heard singing, but the audio-animatronic itself never appeared. Wendell and Gomer performed on stage as usual while Teddi Barra remained out of sight. The outlet shared this image from the modified Frontierland show on Facebook:
The same was true during the show’s finale, a country version of “The Bare Necessities” from The Jungle Book (1967), where she also failed to appear.
Walt Disney World Resort has not commented on Teddi Barra’s absence or provided a timeline for her return.
When Will She Return?

This isn’t the first time Teddi Barra has gone AWOL. She went missing from Grizzly Hall in September 2025 and again in February 2026, both times returning to the show within a few days to a week. If history is any guide, her current absence is likely a temporary mechanical issue rather than a permanent one.
The Country Bear Musical Jamboree continues running its normal schedule with continuous performances at Grizzly Hall from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. daily.
