New Mickey Mouse Experience on Its Way to Disney World, Park Confirms
Walt Disney World Resort filed a construction permit on March 24 to install set elements for Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live! at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, confirming the interactive show is moving forward as part of the Animation Courtyard transformation.
The Notice of Commencement targets 150 Showbiz Boulevard—the former Disney Junior Play and Dance! theater, which closed last September. Third-party contractor Icarus Exhibits, also working on Magic of Disney Animation, will install the set pieces.
Animation Courtyard Becoming Walt Disney Studios Lot

Walt Disney World Resort announced in 2025 that Animation Courtyard would transform into Walt Disney Studios Lot, inspired by the company’s Burbank animation headquarters. Star Wars Launch Bay is becoming Magic of Disney Animation with drawing classes, an audio-animatronic Olaf, character meet-and-greets, and a returning oversized blue Sorcerer Mickey hat.
The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure is surviving the renovation and continues performing throughout construction.
Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Returns

Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live! is based on Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, which aired on Disney Channel from 2006-2016, and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse+, which premiered last year. The show currently performs at Disney California Adventure Park.
The preschooler-focused interactive experience features Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Pluto, and friends on stage, backed by a massive digital screen. The former Disney Junior Play and Dance! theater already contains a large screen, so Icarus Exhibits is likely installing other set elements specific to the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse show.
Opening Dates

Walt Disney Studios Lot, including Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live!, opens at Disney’s Hollywood Studios on May 26, 2026. Walt Disney World Resort hasn’t announced a grand opening date for Magic of Disney Animation.
