Disney Cancels Wide Selection of Dining Reservations Without Notice

Were You Impacted by the Sudden Removal?

For many Disney fans, preview events aren’t just early access—they’re something closer to a reward. A chance to step into the next chapter of a park before the rest of the world arrives, to experience the magic in its freshest, most polished form.

At Disneyland Paris, anticipation has been steadily building as the resort prepares to transform its second gate into Disney Adventure World, a reimagined destination designed to rival some of the most immersive experiences across Disney’s global parks.

Guests lucky enough to secure preview access expected something special. Carefully planned itineraries, dining reservations, and once-in-a-lifetime character interactions all became part of the experience. For many, one particular reservation stood out.

But now, fans are noticing something isn’t going quite as planned.

A Surprising Change Is Quietly Disrupting Carefully Planned Visits

In recent days, some guests preparing for preview access have begun receiving unexpected updates tied to their visits.

These weren’t small tweaks or routine adjustments—these were changes impacting key parts of the guest experience. Plans that had been made weeks in advance suddenly became uncertain, leaving some visitors scrambling for alternatives.

Disney preview events are known for being fluid. Cast Members are still training. Operations are still being refined. But even with that understanding, the sudden nature of these changes has caught attention.

Disney Adventure World Is Meant To Usher in a Bold New Era for the Park

The transformation of Walt Disney Studios Park into Disney Adventure World marks one of the most ambitious changes in the park’s history.

Set to officially launch on March 29, the expansion introduces major new experiences, including World of Frozen and Raiponce Tangled Spin, signaling a shift toward more immersive, story-driven lands.

Preview days are designed to showcase that evolution while allowing Disney to fine-tune operations behind the scenes. It’s not uncommon for adjustments to happen during this phase—but expectations remain high, especially when it comes to premium experiences.

Guests Report Last-Minute Cancellations at a Highly Anticipated Dining Experience

Some guests scheduled to attend preview days on March 18 received emails informing them that their reservations at The Regal View Restaurant & Lounge had been canceled.

According to the message sent to attendees, Disney cited ongoing operational adjustments and Cast Member training as the reason for the change. The email reassured guests that their park preview access would remain valid but confirmed the restaurant would not be able to accommodate them that day.

To make up for the inconvenience, affected guests were offered one adult meal and a non-alcoholic beverage, along with the opportunity to rebook for a later date after March 29—subject to availability.

The Regal View Restaurant is a character dining experience featuring Disney Princesses, making it one of the most in-demand offerings tied to the new expansion.

Reports suggest that too many reservations may have been booked for the preview window, though it remains unclear whether this was due to overbooking or limited staffing availability. Guests attempting to rebook have reportedly struggled to find open reservations in the days immediately following the preview period.

Fans Are Already Reacting as Uncertainty Spreads Online

Across social media platforms like X (formerly Twitter) and Reddit, reactions have been swift.

Some fans expressed understanding, pointing out that preview events are inherently experimental. Others, however, described frustration over having carefully planned experiences disrupted at the last minute.

“Fans are heartbroken,” one user wrote, noting that character dining was a highlight of their trip. Another described the situation as “a surprising change during what should be a seamless preview.”

The conversation continues to grow as more guests compare notes and share their experiences, with many now watching closely to see if further adjustments will follow.

What This Could Mean for Guests Visiting in the Coming Weeks

As Disney Adventure World approaches its official debut, this situation highlights the delicate balance Disney must strike during preview operations.

On one hand, these early access events are crucial for testing systems, training Cast Members, and ensuring everything runs smoothly for the grand opening. On the other, they come with expectations—especially for guests who have secured high-demand experiences like character dining.

For future visitors, this may serve as a reminder that preview experiences can come with unpredictability. Flexibility may be key in the weeks leading up to March 29.

Still, the bigger picture remains unchanged: Disneyland Paris is on the brink of a major transformation, one that could redefine how guests experience its second park for years to come.

But for now, some guests are left wondering—if this is just the beginning, what other changes might still be ahead?
