Police Respond to Incident at Disneyland Resort Entrance

The incident occurred at approximately 3:45 p.m. near the entrance to Disneyland Park. According to guests on site, a man using a mobility scooter was surrounded by multiple cast members, including at least one member of Disneyland security.

Witnesses noted that cast members appeared to establish a perimeter around the individual as guests continued to pass through the area. The situation quickly drew attention from nearby visitors, some of whom stopped to observe.

A video shared online show the man seated on the scooter with his shorts appearing to be pulled partially down his thighs. The images circulated rapidly on social media platforms, prompting speculation about the nature of the incident.

The guest who posted about the encounter on Reddit said the response escalated as they approached the park entrance.

“Saw this walking in the park today,” the guest wrote. “Cast members stood around the guy making a perimeter. then as we were walking in two more people came out who I can only assume to be with the guy because they were also surrounded.”

Additional Reddit users commented on details visible in the images, including the presence of a custodial cast member wearing gloves and standing near the scooter.

“[The Custodial cast member has] got gloves on and seems to be kind of blocking the view,” one user wrote. “Considering his pants are halfway down, I bet there is something unfortunate she has to clean up and that’s why he’s being detained/arrested.”

Another guest who claimed to have witnessed the incident stated that the individual was allegedly arrested for public intoxication. Disney has not confirmed the reason for the arrest, and no official statement has been released.

Anaheim Police Department involvement was visible at the scene, according to guests, though further details regarding charges or outcomes were not immediately available.

Recent Arrests Highlight Ongoing Guest Conduct Issues

If the arrest stemmed from intoxication, it would align with several recent incidents at Disneyland Resort involving alcohol-related behavior. In 2024, two intoxicated guests were arrested following a violent altercation at Downtown Disney, the resort’s adjacent shopping and dining district.

That same year, another incident unfolded inside Disneyland Park when a reportedly “very drunk” guest assaulted multiple cast members in Fantasyland. The confrontation led to a partial land closure and required police intervention.

According to reports at the time, the guest attempted to physically resist officers. He was eventually restrained and removed from the park in a wheelchair.

Disney’s guest conduct policies explicitly prohibit disruptive or unsafe behavior. The Disneyland Resort website outlines expectations for all visitors.

“Please show common courtesy to fellow Guests and our Cast Members by not using profanity or engaging in unsafe, illegal, disruptive or offensive behavior,” the policy states.

While enforcement has remained consistent, some guests have expressed concern that alcohol access within the parks has contributed to a rise in such incidents. Alcohol was once largely absent from Disneyland Park, reflecting Walt Disney’s original standards.

Today, alcoholic beverages are available at locations including Blue Bayou Restaurant and Oga’s Cantina (which is currently closed for refurbishment), as well as numerous venues throughout Disney California Adventure Park.

Guests can also enjoy booze at Club 33 if lucky enough to have access to Disney’s exclusive members’ club.

Disney has not indicated plans to alter alcohol availability, instead emphasizing individual responsibility and adherence to park rules.
