Law Enforcement Flood EPCOT Amid Reports of Violence

Police responded to a battery incident at EPCOT on Tuesday afternoon after reports of violence at the theme park.

The incident occurred around 3:49 p.m. EST on February 10, according to police scanner activity monitored by X (formerly Twitter) account @WDWActiveCrime, which tracks law enforcement calls across Walt Disney World Resort.

The account posted about the incident shortly after the response occurred:

🚨 Police Alert 🚓 – 02/10/26 03:49 pm 🚨: Battery (Unwanted Touching or Striking Someone) at 📍: Disney’s EPCOT #WaltDisneyWorld #Disney

Scanner reports provided limited details beyond timing and location. The post included a Google Maps screenshot showing coordinates near Spaceship Earth in EPCOT’s center. However, this follows standard logging practice rather than indicating the incident’s actual location within the Disney theme park.

Public call logs for Walt Disney World Resort typically use central park coordinates regardless of where incidents occur. The battery could have happened anywhere within EPCOT’s boundaries.

Walt Disney World Resort has not commented publicly on the incident. EPCOT remained fully operational on Tuesday with no reported closures or disruptions to attractions, dining, or shopping.

Guests involved in violent incidents at Disney parks typically receive trespass warnings and property bans ranging from years to permanent, depending on the severity of the incident. Walt Disney World Resort security works with the Orange County Sheriff’s Department to handle criminal matters discreetly, minimizing disruption to other visitors.

Visitors who encounter law enforcement activity during their Disney vacation should follow all verbal and written instructions from authorities and avoid cordoned areas. Most incidents are resolved quickly without affecting broader park operations.
