Beloved Restaurant Returns to Disneyland Resort Hotel Next Month
Disneyland Resort’s premier fine dining restaurant is ready to welcome guests again. Napa Rose at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa will reopen on February 6, 2026, following an extensive transformation.
When Disneyland Reservations Open
Guests can begin booking reservations on January 27, 2026, starting at 9 a.m. PST. Reservations will be available on the Disneyland website, with booking strongly recommended due to the restaurant’s popularity and anticipated demand.
The restaurant offers reservations up to 60 days in advance through Disneyland.com or NapaRose.com, providing substantial planning time for guests organizing visits around dining experiences.
New Dining Formats
The reimagined Napa Rose introduces multiple dining options designed to accommodate different occasions and preferences.
The newly redesigned bar and lounge offers the most casual option, serving crafted cocktails and small plates available à la carte. The space features comfortable seating, a new bar, and a fireplace creating relaxed ambiance. The bar and lounge extend to a renovated outdoor patio for alfresco dining. Walk-ins are welcome with no reservations required, though availability isn’t guaranteed during busy periods.
The main dining room serves a seasonal prix fixe menu with optional wine pairings complementing each multi-course meal. Families will find an enhanced children’s menu for guests ages 9 and under. Seating options include the indoor dining room surrounded by Napa Rose’s 1,500-label wine collection or the expanded outdoor terrace offering wine country atmosphere.
The Chef’s Counter seats up to 18 guests with direct views of the exhibition kitchen where chefs personalize each course based on seasonal ingredients and creative inspiration. For the first time, Chef’s Counter reservations can be booked online through NapaRose.com rather than requiring phone calls.
A newly renovated private dining room accommodates up to 16 guests for special occasions, with bookings arranged by contacting the restaurant directly.
The Disneyland Culinary Team
Chef Andrew Sutton, culinary director of signature dining who has been with Napa Rose since its 2001 opening, collaborated with Executive Chef Clint Chin on menu development. The team focuses on seasonal California ingredients while incorporating global flavors and techniques.
Executive Pastry Chef Jorge Sotelo and Pastry Chef Nubia Renteria lead the dessert program, both bringing more than 25 years of experience at Disneyland Resort. General Manager Jess Soman and Wine Director Patrick Kirchen complete the leadership team.
Menu Highlights
Bar and lounge offerings include Beef Tartare topped with Osetra caviar, Bone Marrow Custard, and Laughing Tiger, a creative reimagining of the fan-favorite Smiling Tiger Salad.
Main dining room standouts feature American Wagyu New York steak served medium rare with grape fennel mostarda, Oak Roasted Forest Mushrooms, and Sorpresine Pasta prepared with Dungeness crab and Santa Barbara uni butter.
Dessert options include Nantes Carrot Cake Crémeux and Elevated and Reminiscent Valrhona Chocolate Bar, providing refined finishes to the multi-course experience.
What’s Changed
The transformation enhanced Napa Rose’s established strengths while adding flexibility through multiple dining formats. The bar and lounge provide casual drop-in options that don’t require advance planning. The Chef’s Counter online booking removes friction from the reservation process. The expanded outdoor spaces increase capacity while maintaining the wine country inspired atmosphere.
The 1,500-label wine collection remains central to the experience, preserving Napa Rose’s reputation as a premier wine destination within Disneyland Resort.
Planning Your Disneyland Visit
Guests interested in the reopened Napa Rose should prepare to book when reservations open on January 27. Given the restaurant’s established popularity and months of closure creating pent-up demand, securing preferred dates and times will likely require booking promptly when availability opens.
The February 6 reopening arrives quickly after reservation availability, giving minimal wait time between booking and actual dining opportunities.
For guests seeking spontaneous experiences without advance reservations, the bar and lounge provides walk-in options, though space isn’t guaranteed during peak periods.
After months of renovation, Napa Rose returns with updates designed to enhance rather than fundamentally alter the fine dining experience that established its reputation over 25 years of operation.
