Disney Transportation Service Abandoned, No Word on Return

A transportation platform at Disneyland Paris Resort is practically abandoned after service ended in 2023. European Disney Park guests still have access to the area, but rarely have a reason to visit beyond finding a place to sit or using the bathroom. Read on to see photos of the eerie train station.

Transportation Service Ends

In June 2023, Eurostar indefinitely suspended direct service from London St. Pancras International to Marne-la-Vallée–Chessy. The announcement came alongside the suspension of service on two other train lines; however, those were scheduled to resume in 2025. The London to Disneyland Paris Resort service has never returned.

European Disney Park guests can travel on the Eurostar from London to other platforms at Marne-la-Vallée–Chessy station by changing at Lille or transferring to local lines at Gare du Nord and connecting to Marne-la-Vallée–Chessy. Unfortunately, either alternative adds about an hour to the trip and at least one transfer. Eurostar has not announced plans to resume the direct service from London to Disneyland Paris Resort.

Abandoned Train Station at Disneyland Paris

Almost three years after the Eurostar train service from London to Disneyland Paris Resort ended, the platform at Marne-la-Vallée–Chessy station that typically welcomed the arriving trains is eerily quiet. It’s still open to the public, but it is rarely used by visiting Disney Park guests.

On January 15, X (formerly known as Twitter) user @DLPRescueRanger shared four photos of the empty transportation platform near Disneyland Paris Resort, writing:

The photos show unused queue lines, the blocked train tracks and loading platform, and the former service counters for Eurostar tickets and the Disney Express luggage service. Disney Express allows guests to drop off their bags after getting off the train and head to the theme parks while their luggage travels directly to their Disney Resort hotel.
