Halloween isn’t even over yet, but Walt Disney World Resort has already turned its attention to the holidays. Just days before the official end of spooky season, Christmas has taken over multiple theme parks and the Disney Springs shopping and dining district — signaling that the Most Wonderful Time of the Year has officially begun.
Christmas Arrives Early at Disney World

Disney cast members across Walt Disney World Resort have been hard at work this week, installing Christmas decorations, lighting fixtures, and machinery designed to create fake snow. The holiday transformation has spread quickly across the property, with twinkling lights, trees, and wreaths popping up in every direction.
Disney’s early start to the holiday season isn’t new, but this year’s shift feels especially swift. The resort traditionally launches its Halloween celebrations in early August with the start of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom Park. By the time Halloween comes to a close, the resort is already deep into preparations for its Christmas festivities. The first Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is scheduled for November 7, followed by the third annual Disney Jollywood Nights event at Disney’s Hollywood Studios on November 8.
Decorations Already Overtaking the Parks

Even though two nights of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party remain on October 30 and 31, the parks are already glowing with the sights of the season. According to WDWNT, cast members have begun installing “snoap” machines on Main Street, U.S.A., preparing to fill the air with Disney’s signature fake snow as soon as the first Christmas party begins.
Halloween decorations will begin disappearing from Magic Kingdom Park as early as November 1, though the full holiday transformation may take several days to complete. But the Christmas takeover isn’t limited to the Magic Kingdom — the change is happening all across the Central Florida vacation destination.
Hollywood Studios and Disney Springs Join the Festivities

Over at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, lights, “snoap” machines, and Christmas banners have been spotted throughout the park. X (formerly Twitter) user @DisneyStarr8 reported:
Same at Studios. Lots of lights installed in bushes, snips machines, Xmas banners, etc. ❤️🎄🎅🧑🎄

Disney Springs has also joined in the fun. On Monday, X user @Attractions posted photos of the World of Disney store with its windows covered and display areas blocked off for refurbishment. Just two days later, the same user shared an update showing that the remaining Halloween decorations had been removed — and Christmas trees had already been added to the outdoor displays:
Just a couple days later, the last Halloween window has been covered and Christmas trees added to another at World of Disney in @DisneySprings

The Holiday Season Begins

Walt Disney World Resort typically completes its full holiday installation by the first week of November, if not earlier. This year, however, one beloved tradition won’t return — the life-size gingerbread house at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. The hotel’s iconic Christmas display is on pause due to ongoing construction in the lobby.
