Halloween Horror Nights fans finally have a much clearer idea of what Universal Orlando Resort has planned for this year’s event. After weeks of announcements, rumors, and carefully timed reveals, the resort has unveiled nearly every major piece of the HHN 35 lineup. While a few surprises are still waiting in the wings, guests can now start planning around the haunted houses, scare zones, and live entertainment coming this fall.
From original nightmares to major horror franchises, this year’s event once again blends Universal’s own creations with recognizable names from film and television. Here’s everything announced so far.
Halloween Horror Nights Continues To Grow
Every fall, Universal Studios Florida transforms after dark for Halloween Horror Nights, turning the park into a completely different experience. Instead of focusing on attractions alone, the event fills the streets with scare actors while haunted houses, themed entertainment, specialty food, and exclusive merchandise create an entirely new atmosphere.
That combination has helped Halloween Horror Nights become Universal Orlando Resort’s signature seasonal event. HHN 35 follows the same successful formula by mixing original stories with licensed properties that horror fans already know.
Original Stories Take Center Stage
Universal has built a strong reputation for its original haunted houses, and HHN 35 offers another diverse collection.
H.R. Bloodengutz Presents: A Halloween Fright-Tacular! brings the infamous horror television personality back for another over-the-top production packed with gruesome surprises and classic Halloween Horror Nights style.
MADLANDS: Caged Cannibals shifts the action to an abandoned zoo that has become the home of rival cannibal factions. Rather than dangerous animals, guests now face violent survivors fighting for control.
Science fiction enters the lineup through INVASION: Alien Abduction. Guests walk through a remote farmhouse after mysterious Gray aliens arrive in search of human test subjects, creating a tense encounter with visitors from another world.
Cybergoria jumps thousands of years into the future, placing guests inside a machine-controlled world where technology has transformed humanity in its pursuit of immortality.
Rounding out the original lineup is Jack & Oddfellow: Chaos & Control. The haunted house explores the relationship between Jack the Clown and Dr. Oddfellow while examining how two of Halloween Horror Nights’ biggest original icons became intertwined long before today’s event.
Horror Favorites Join the Event
Original ideas aren’t the only draw this year. Universal has also assembled an impressive lineup of houses based on well-known horror properties.
Sinners recreates the Smokestack Twins’ juke joint, where opening night quickly turns into a fight for survival after bloodthirsty vampires invade.
Netflix’s Stranger Things 5 sends guests back to Hawkins one last time. Along the way, they’ll encounter Demogorgons, the Mind Flayer, Vecna, and several moments inspired by the series’ final season.
Hellraiser draws inspiration from the original film trilogy, bringing Pinhead and the Cenobites into a haunted house for a series of horrifying encounters.
Evil Dead Burn also joins the lineup, placing guests inside a family home overrun by Deadites after an evil force takes control.
One major mystery still surrounds the event. Although Universal has not officially announced it, reports suggest an Ozzy Osbourne-themed haunted house could also be coming to HHN 35 after an apparent Pandora advertisement surfaced before any formal announcement. For now, though, Universal has yet to confirm those reports.
New Scares Fill the Streets
Beyond the haunted houses, Universal has announced additional street experiences that should keep guests on edge between attractions.
Sideshow of Decay brings Cindy to the Hollywood section of the park after she opens a portal inside a forgotten carnival junkyard, unleashing long-buried nightmares.
Infernal Carnival of Nightmares takes over Illumination Boulevard, where Jack and Dr. Oddfellow invite guests into another sinister carnival overflowing with terrifying performers.
Universal has also confirmed that the Killer Klowns from Outer Space will return to Halloween Horror Nights. While the company hasn’t explained exactly how they’ll appear, many fans expect them to become part of another scare zone.
Live Entertainment Returns
Haunted houses remain the centerpiece of Halloween Horror Nights, but live entertainment continues to play a major role.
Nightmare Fuel: Blood Noir debuts a brand-new production featuring high-energy performances set inside a vampire-filled city.
Universal has also announced Stranger Things: Return to Hawkins, a lagoon show celebrating all five seasons of the hit Netflix series through music, projections, and memorable moments from the show’s history.
A Few Questions Still Remain
Halloween Horror Nights 35 begins on August 28 and continues on select nights through November 1.
Although most of the event has now been revealed, Universal still has a few announcements left to make. The company has not officially addressed the rumored Ozzy Osbourne haunted house, confirmed exactly how Killer Klowns from Outer Space will be incorporated into the event, or announced the remaining scare zone. Fans are also waiting for additional details about themed food, exclusive merchandise, and other event offerings.
Even with those remaining questions, HHN 35 already looks packed with original concepts, recognizable horror franchises, and fresh entertainment. As opening night gets closer, Halloween Horror Nights appears ready to deliver another memorable season of scares at Universal Orlando Resort.
