Pluto’s Long-Lost Halloween Attraction Returns to EPCOT

Fall is just around the corner, and Disney is already dusting off its pumpkins and pulling out the cobwebs in the best possible way. Starting September 2, EPCOT’s fan-favorite Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit returns for the 2025 Halloween season—and if you’re heading to the parks this fall, you won’t want to skip it.

This festive scavenger hunt turns EPCOT into a pumpkin-filled playground, where guests of all ages are invited to track down cleverly hidden pumpkins decorated to resemble Disney characters. It’s a charming, low-stress activity that encourages you to slow down, explore the park, and take in the seasonal atmosphere.

Here’s how it works: for $11.99 (plus tax), you can purchase a game board and sticker set from select merchandise locations like Disney Traders, Creations Shop, and other festival booths. From there, your mission begins. Wander through World Nature, World Celebration, World Discovery, and even some corners of World Showcase in search of those sneaky little pumpkins. Each time you find one, you’ll mark it off with a matching sticker.

The best part? You don’t need to complete the hunt to earn a prize. Simply bring your board to a designated redemption location—like Gateway Gifts or World Traveler—and you’ll receive a special keepsake just for participating.

This year, the event arrives a bit earlier and at a slightly higher price than in previous years, but the added cost hasn’t stopped guests from making it a staple of their fall Disney tradition. It’s the perfect activity for families looking to take a break between rides or soak up the festival fun without the need for Lightning Lanes or long queues.

And don’t forget: Magic Kingdom’s Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is happening on select nights from August 15 through October 31. With trick-or-treating, spooky parades, fireworks, and costumed characters, it’s the main event for Halloween lovers. When you combine that with Pluto’s scavenger hunt at EPCOT, you’ve got a fall vacation packed with festive fun from park to park.

Whether you’re in it for the prize, the pumpkins, or just a good excuse to explore EPCOT in a new way, Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit is a not-so-scary, not-to-be-missed seasonal delight.
