Disney World Christmas News Drops—But Loyal Fans Notice What’s Missing

Disney’s big holiday announcement just arrived like a sleigh full of tinsel—complete with returning favorites, festive décor, and showstopping entertainment across all four parks. But while most fans were busy getting hyped for the merriest season of the year, others were left scratching their heads.

Longtime Annual Passholders noticed something glaringly absent from Disney’s July 8 announcement: their usual holiday perks.

Sure, the update from Disney Parks Blog was packed with festive fun. We’re talking about the Jingle Cruise, Frozen Holiday Surprise at Cinderella Castle, and even more magic at Jollywood Nights and EPCOT’s Festival of the Holidays. But there wasn’t a single mention of the beloved Annual Passholder holiday discount—a tradition that’s helped fans save on resort stays or special event tickets like Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party for years.

The absence wasn’t just a fluke. In past years, Disney typically slipped in at least a sentence or two acknowledging Passholders—even if full details weren’t ready. This year? Not a word.

To be fair, Disney hasn’t even shared dates or ticket prices for the holiday parties yet. So there’s still time for perks to show up in a follow-up post. Still, many Passholders feel like they’re being kept in the dark, and some are worried this could be a sign that Disney’s scaling back benefits for one of its most loyal groups.

It’s not uncommon for Disney to roll out news in waves—especially when dealing with crowd-heavy events like Christmas. But in a season where rooms go fast and party tickets sell out in minutes, even a small delay can mean missing out.

So far, Disney’s staying silent. No clarification. No reassurance.

For now, Passholders are left playing the waiting game—and crossing their fingers that their usual perks aren’t gone for good. After all, Christmas at Disney is expensive enough without losing those little discounts that helped make the magic more affordable.
