Government-Mandated Sale Hits Disney Resort, Effective Immediately
Across the pond, European Disney fans are watching their home park undergo its most significant transformation in decades. From an overhauled village district to the creation of entirely new lands, Disneyland Paris is in the middle of a long-awaited glow-up.
It’s also quietly become one of the best-value destinations in the Disney portfolio. With Disneyland Resort in California pushing ticket prices north of $200, and even standard perks like Lightning Lane now locked behind hefty paywalls, fans have started looking elsewhere for their Disney fix. For many, that’s meant heading to Tokyo, where park admission remains relatively low. But Paris is also having a moment.
Adult one-day tickets at Disneyland Paris start around $75 — sometimes even less, thanks to seasonal promotions and bundled deals. Now, a new round of discounts has made the resort even more affordable, and this time, it isn’t just a marketing strategy.
Summer Sales Arrive by Law
In France, major sales events are government-mandated. Known as les soldes, these periods allow retailers to sell merchandise at a loss — something typically prohibited under French commercial law. They occur just twice a year: once in summer and once in winter. This year’s summer window runs from June 25 to July 22, 2025.
Disneyland Paris joined the nationwide rollout this week, launching seasonal discounts across its shops. Up to 50 percent off has been applied to select items, including apparel, mugs, plush toys, and other themed merchandise. According to images shared by DLP Report, Spirit Jerseys and other resort-specific products are already included in the markdowns.

More price drops may be on the horizon. Last year’s summer sale saw some merchandise slashed by up to 70 percent toward the end of the promotion.
These state-regulated sales come at a time of continued transformation across the resort. Walt Disney Studios Park, historically the lesser half of the property, is undergoing a sweeping reimagining.
Big Changes Underway at Disneyland Paris
World Premiere Plaza, the first phase of a new entry corridor, opened in May 2025. The redesigned space features a Hollywood-inspired boulevard, indoor dining at Hollywood Gardens Restaurant, and the Mickey’s of Hollywood boutique. It sets the stage for a wider rebrand as Walt Disney Studios Park becomes Disney Adventure World.
That same year, the park’s World of Frozen area is set to debut. This land — which has also been dubbed the Kingdom of Arendelle — will feature the Frozen Ever After boat ride, themed dining, and new shops circling a central lake. It will later be joined by a Lion King Land with an original flume ride and African-inspired food concepts.
Further updates are taking shape along Adventure Way, a scenic promenade connecting Pixar attractions to the new lands. A Tangled spinner ride, an Up-themed experience, and the Regal View Restaurant & Lounge — with lakeside views and upscale fare — are all part of the build.
Beyond the parks, Disney Village is undergoing its own transformation. The district’s original 1990s look is being replaced with sleeker architecture and modern storefronts. Disney Glamour, Brasserie Rosalie, and the refurbished LEGO Store are now open. A new concept shop, Deco by Disney, has joined the lineup, and a newly constructed McDonald’s is expected to open in 2026.
The resort’s hotels are also part of the refresh. Disney Sequoia Lodge will begin phased renovations in 2026, with all 1,000+ rooms redesigned to include nature-inspired theming beyond Bambi. “Every space, from the rooms to the lobby, as well as the shopping and dining locations, will be reinvented as an ode to wildlife,” the resort said, emphasizing the use of sustainably sourced materials.
At Disney Davy Crockett Ranch, upgrades are already underway. The site’s cabins are being replaced, with new interiors inspired by Donald and Daisy Duck and the Junior Woodchucks. Bookings for the updated lodges opened earlier this month for stays beginning after summer 2025.
