The idea isn’t grounded in any official discussions from Disney or Lucasfilm, but a Reddit thread from last year highlights the excitement many fans feel about Rachel Zegler playing the iconic role of Leia Organa.

The discussion, which took place in the Rachel Zegler subreddit, quickly garnered attention, with fans praising her ability to bring the fierce spirit of Leia to life.

One Reddit user simply wrote, “Someone cast her as a Star Wars princess, please,” prompting others to share similar enthusiasm for Zegler’s potential to take on the role.

While Leia may not fit the mold of a traditional Disney Princess like Snow White, her place in the Star Wars saga is undeniable.

Adding fuel to the fire, in a recent interview with CinemaBlend, Zegler reacted to the news that Leia is officially considered a Disney Princess, having seemingly been unaware.

Fans quickly took to the comments section on the video to voice their support for Zegler playing Leia, with one writing, “I WANT HER IN STAR WARS OMGGGG.”
