As Disneyland Resort gears up for its massive 70th Anniversary celebration, one of the most exciting new additions to the festivities is a brand-new dining experience featuring the one and only Donald Duck.
Beginning May 16, 2025, Disney will be unveiling Donald’s Tales of Adventure Buffet at the Storytellers Café, located within Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. This character-driven dining event will give guests the opportunity to enjoy delicious food while interacting with Donald and his friends, making it a memorable addition to the resort’s 70th-anniversary celebrations.
The buffet will be held nightly from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and will feature a variety of mouthwatering barbecue dishes that are sure to satisfy every guest’s appetite.

Celebrating 70 Years of Magic
Disneyland’s 70th Anniversary celebration promises to be nothing short of spectacular, with exciting new events and experiences throughout the park. From May 16, 2025, onward, guests will be treated to special anniversary festivities across Disneyland Park, Disney California Adventure, and the Downtown Disney District.
One of the standout features of this anniversary celebration is the return of the Paint the Night Parade. This vibrant nighttime parade, which was first introduced during Disneyland’s 60th anniversary, became an instant classic, featuring floats from films like Cars (2006), Frozen (2013), Toy Story (1995), and The Little Mermaid (1989). The parade will run nightly, weather permitting, and is sure to captivate audiences of all ages.
Meanwhile, Disney California Adventure will shine with a brand-new edition of World of Color on Pixar Pier. The new show, Word of Color: Happiness!, hosted by Joy from Inside Out (2015), will explore the theme of happiness, incorporating moments from Disney and Pixar’s most beloved films like Turning Red (2022), The Incredibles (2004), Encanto (2021), Tangled (2010), and many more.
The show will illuminate the night sky with breathtaking visuals and inspiring music, creating an unforgettable experience for guests.

In addition to these shows, Disneyland’s 70th-anniversary festivities will also include a new Celebrate Happy Cavalcade at Disneyland Park and the Better Together: A Pixar Pals Celebration! parade at Disney California Adventure, which first debuted during Pixar Fest.
At the heart of these celebrations will be the Wondrous Journeys fireworks show, created to honor The Walt Disney Company’s 100th anniversary, lighting up the skies above Sleeping Beauty Castle.
The anniversary celebrations will run through the summer of 2026, giving guests plenty of time to experience all the special events, attractions, and limited-time food and beverages on offer.
