EPCOT’s Club Cool is experiencing unexpected challenges, as ongoing supply shortages impact the variety of beverages on offer.
A favorite among park-goers, the interactive experience allows visitors to sample sodas from countries around the world totally free of charge (and it’s not often you can say that at Walt Disney World Resort).
These range from the beloved Sprite Cucumber to the much-maligned Italian aperitif Beverly. However, recent reports have revealed a significant reduction in available drinks, causing frustration among fans who cherish the global selection.
Shortages Hit Global Drink Selection
The first signs of trouble came when China’s Sour Plum Tea disappeared from the lineup, followed closely by the Philippines’ Royal Wattamelon.
Now, guests are also finding the Dominican Republic’s Country Club Merengue unavailable.
To make matters worse, two of the drink stations have been left completely out of order, with signs instructing visitors to “Please Try Another Flavor.”
As of now, the only remaining options are Beverly (if you dare), Bon Bon Anglais, Minute Maid Joy Apple Lychee, Sprite Cucumber, and Viva Raspberry.
Past Shortages and Supply Chain Issues
This isn’t the first time EPCOT’s Club Cool has faced supply issues.
Back in 2022, Disney dealt with similar shortages, which were attributed to supply chain disruptions. More dramatically, in 2023, Club Cool was left with only Beverly available, much to the amusement—and dismay—of guests.
Though these shortages have been resolved quickly in the past, the big question right now is how long this latest round will last.
EPCOT’s Other Global Offerings Remain Strong
Despite these setbacks, EPCOT’s commitment to cultural diversity remains strong. The World Showcase continues to offer an immersive experience, with pavilions representing countries like Mexico, Norway, and China, where guests can explore art, cuisine, and architecture.
For those seeking variety outside of Club Cool, there’s no shortage of locations offering tasty beverages from across the globe – even if they’re not free.
At the Mexico Pavilion, EPCOT visitors can enjoy authentic margaritas and tequila-based cocktails at Choza de Margarita, and the UK Pavilion’s Beer Cart serves (you guessed it) beer heralding from across the pond.
Meanwhile, France offers a selection of fine wines and champagne, the Italy Pavilion features robust Italian wines and refreshing limoncello, and the China Pavilion’s Joy of Tea offers everything from bubble tea to oolong tea.
