Disney Dreams That Soar: A Magical Farewell
The magic of Disney never truly fades, but sometimes, a spectacular show must come to an end. As of yesterday, Disney Dreams That Soar has concluded its run, making September 2 your final chance to experience this mesmerizing nighttime event for free…or is it?

Disney’s Nighttime Entertainment Extravaganza
Whether you’re strolling down Main Street at Disneyland Resort or exploring Tokyo Disney Resort, each Disney park around the world is known for its enchanting nighttime entertainment. However, with its vast 29,720 acres and four incredible theme parks, Walt Disney World Resort in Florida takes the crown for offering the most dazzling array of evening shows.
At Magic Kingdom, the iconic Happily Ever After fireworks show continues to captivate audiences. This breathtaking display combines fireworks, projections, and lasers, all set to classic Disney tunes.
Fans were overjoyed when Disney decided to bring back Happily Ever After after initially replacing it with Disney Enchantment for the resort’s 50th anniversary. And in 2025, the excitement will grow even more with the return of nighttime parades.
The new Disney Starlight Parade, debuting next summer, promises to dazzle with thousands of twinkling lights and beloved Disney stories, reminiscent of the beloved Main Street Electrical Parade.

At EPCOT, guests can currently revel in Luminous: The Symphony of Us. This spectacular show over World Showcase Lagoon merges fireworks, fountains, music, and lights to celebrate our shared humanity and unity.
Over at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, nighttime entertainment has been on hiatus since 2020, following the closure of Rivers of Light.
Meanwhile, Disney’s Hollywood Studios offers two captivating shows: Fantasmic!, where Mickey Mouse battles dark forces with his imagination, and Wonderful World of Animation, a projection show on the Chinese Theatre that celebrates over 90 years of Disney and Pixar magic.

Disney Dreams That Soar: A Stunning Drone Show
This summer, Disney Springs introduced Disney Dreams That Soar, a stunning drone show that captivated guests with its vibrant visuals and enchanting storytelling.
Premiering in May, this 10-minute spectacle featured 800 drones illuminating the night sky over Lake Buena Vista. The show brought to life beloved characters from classics like Toy Story (1995), Coco (2017), Dumbo (1941), Peter Pan (1953), Up (2009), and the Star Wars saga, among others.
The show quickly became a fan favorite, praised for its beauty and innovative use of technology. Guests described it as “absolutely beautiful” and “outstanding.”
However, with its popularity, Disney Springs did experience some crowd-related challenges. Early visitors noted the difficulty in finding a good viewing spot and feeling somewhat crowded.

Final Performances and Future Prospects
Disney Dreams That Soar was performed twice daily, at 9 p.m. and 10:45 p.m., offering a unique nighttime experience at Disney Springs, which, notably, did not require an admission fee. However, as of September 2, the show has concluded its run.
While Disney has yet to announce whether Disney Dreams That Soar will make a return, it’s clear that Disney fans have embraced this innovative show. Given Disney’s history of reviving popular attractions, there’s hope that it may return in the future—perhaps for summer 2025. For now, we bid a fond farewell to Disney Dreams That Soar and look forward to future magical moments.
