10. Scavenger Hunts

Many guests know these, but not everyone takes the time to complete them! Seasonal festivals, such as the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival (March 5 – June 2, 2025) and Food & Wine Festival, feature themed scavenger hunts that are fun for all ages. Instead of just purchasing the hunt and claiming the prize, take the time to search for each hidden item. You’ll explore new paths, discover hidden details, and learn something. Seasonal scavenger hunts include:

  • Spike the Bee (Spring – Flower & Garden Festival)

  • Figment’s Brush with the Masters (Festival of the Arts)

  • Chip and Dale’s Christmas Tree Spree (Holidays)

  • Remy’s Ratatouille Hide & Squeak (Food & Wine Festival)

  • Eggstravaganza (Easter-themed egg hunt)

Each hunt has a unique prize, making it a fun collectible souvenir from your trip. Participating costs around $10 and includes a paper map, stickers, and your prize. If you don’t like the prize, you can look for the hidden characters in each World Showcase Pavilion for free!

This attraction is a family-friendly way to relax, enjoy fantastic animated shorts, and escape the Florida heat in an air-conditioned setting. The show rotates different short films, enhanced with in-theater 4D effects similar to Mickey’s PhilharMagic and Muppet Vision 3D.

8. American Heritage Gallery

Exhibits rotate periodically, but one notable exhibit, Creating Tradition: Innovation and Change in American Indian Art, showcased stunning Native American artwork and artifacts. Additionally, the Soul of Jazz: An American Adventure exhibit, inspired by Pixar’s Soul (2020), highlights the history of jazz music in America and features interactive elements through the Play Disney Parks app.

Hidden in the backstreets of the France World Showcase Pavilion, L’Artisan des Glaces is often overshadowed by the nearby kiosk selling Grey Goose Slushes and Grand Marnier Slushes. However, this charming ice cream shop is a must-visit for dessert lovers!

Some of the best treats here include:

  • Ice Cream Martini – A scoop of your favorite ice cream with Grand Marnier, rum, or vodka shot.

  • Ice Cream Macaron – A macaron sandwich filled with rich ice cream.

  • Croque Glacé – A scoop of ice cream with sauce pressed warm inside a homemade brioche.

With unique flavors like cinnamon caramel apple and coconut white chocolate, this spot is worth seeking out!

Many guests rush through The Seas with Nemo & Friends and miss one of EPCOT’s most enchanting and heartwarming experiences—watching the marine life! Although EPCOT recently rehomed its dolphins, the Seas Pavilion remains a great place to explore ocean life through various exhibits, including sea turtles, tropical fish, manatees, and stingrays. Disney cast members provide educational talks daily, making this an excellent stop for animal lovers. Check signs throughout The Seas for talk schedules.

5. Gods of the Vikings Exhibit

Many guests overlook the Stave Church Gallery inside the Norway Pavilion, which houses an incredible exhibit on Norse mythology. While exhibits may change, the Gods of the Vikings exhibit previously explored the legends of Thor, Loki, Odin, and Freya and their significance to Viking culture. Along with fascinating Viking artifacts, this exhibit is a must-see for history buffs and Thor (2011) fans alike. Be sure to check the latest exhibit offerings on your visit!

One of the best things about the EPCOT World Showcase is the attention to detail. Walt Disney Imagineers designed each pavilion to reflect authentic cultural and historical elements, many of which go unnoticed. Here are a few fun details to look for:

  • China Pavilion — The large rock formations along the water are inspired by ancient Chinese garden traditions, which are believed to bring serenity and contemplation.

  • Germany Pavilion — The statue of St. George slaying the dragon in the center of the pavilion is a common symbol throughout Bavaria.

  • Italy Pavilion — The architecture was inspired by Venice’s Doge’s Palace, complete with faux marble to replicate the actual structure.

  • Canada Pavilion — Features authentic totem poles and native carvings, celebrating Indigenous cultures from the region.

  • Morocco Pavilion — Moroccan artisans created the tilework and intricate designs, making this pavilion one of the most authentic representations of its country.

2. EPCOT’s Live Artisans

While EPCOT is famous for its festivals, live artisans can be found throughout the park year-round. You may spot glassblowers in the Germany Pavilion, jewelry and glass carvers in Mexico, and wood carvers near the Outpost area. Watching these talented artists at work is mesmerizing, and purchasing a handcrafted souvenir makes for a meaningful keepsake.
