At Walt Disney World, you have the option to purchase a photo package called Memory Maker. Memory Maker is a pass for you to take as many photos as you want with any Photopass Photographer in Walt Disney World. I have used Memory Maker before and it is a great way to capture all the awesome moments during your Walt Disney World visit. While I didn’t have a problem with Memory Maker, it can get a little confusing; so here is a list of tips and info to get the most out of your Memory Maker.

9. It’s cheaper if you buy it beforehand

If you plan ahead and buy Memory Maker in advance, it’s actually twenty dollars cheaper. Memory Maker costs $169 if you buy beforehand and $199 in parks. If you have already booked your trip you can add it via your My Disney Experience app right from your phone and get the discounted price. You also have three days to add the package, so if you take photos for two days, then decide you want Memory Maker, all of those photos will be included in your downloads.

8. You can link your friends’ and family’s photos

When you purchase Memory Maker, you are able to link up with the other members of your party through your My Disney Experience account. By doing this, you can download all of the photos that have been stored on their accounts as well. This can be really helpful for family members who do not go on certain rides, or the times when your group is split up.

7. Your photos will be saved for only 45 days

Photos are saved in your My Disney Experience account. You will need to save them into your own computer within 45 days or they will be lost forever, as that is when they expire from your My Disney Experience account. But don’t worry, you’ll receive reminder emails as this date draws closer!

6. Upon activation, you have 30 days to capture photos and videos

You have thirty days to capture photos and videos with Memory Maker. Although you can feel free to purchase Memory maker as early as you want, as those thirty days don’t start until the first time you go on a ride or use Photopass photographers. Once you do, your Memory maker is considered “activated.”

5. Includes any Photopass pictures

Memory Maker is usable in almost every photo opportunity in Disney. Memory Maker includes in park Photopass photographers, on ride photos and videos, character dining meals, and meet and greets with your favorite characters. You will never miss a chance to take a great photo and have them all saved in one place.

4. Unlimited amount of photos

While you have a finite amount of time to use your Memory Maker, you yourself decide how much value to get out of it. There is no limit to the amount of photos you can take within thirty days, and you will never have to pay to take any extras.

3. Included in annual passes

If you are already an Annual Passholder, you’re in luck! Memory Maker is included in your annual pass, so you do not have to purchase it separately without the thirty day limit, in fact, it is well worth it if you are a Florida resident, because it’ll save you a ton of money on both!

2. It gets everyone in the picture

If you’ve taken any pictures in Walt Disney World, you know the struggle of someone (usually dad) not being included in a picture. Thankfully, with Memory Maker, you will always have a Photopass photographer ready to take those pictures for you. Finally, you can have everyone all together in the same photo!

1. Professional Quality

When taking pictures with your family in Walt Disney World or any tourist destination, trying to take pictures would be a bit of a pain. A picture may not come out right, or you may be nervous about handing off your prized camera to a complete stranger to take your picture. When you use Memory Maker, you are guaranteed a high quality, professional photo each and every time. Walt Disney’s Photopass Cast Members are highly trained photographers who will be able to take a great picture perfectly whenever you ask throughout your trip.
