I love anything Pixar. And I especially love it when Pixar things are showcased in the Parks! Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor is a great way for Pixar fans to get in on the action. There are a ton of totally cool things about this attraction. Here are some of mine:
1. Not a Long Wait
Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor isn’t the most popular attraction in the Magic Kingdom. Let’s face it: the attractions rarely are. People often head straight past it to get to Astro Orbiter or Buzz Lightyear’s Star Command. This is great news for everyone else! It means there usually isn’t a long wait! Take advantage!
2. Audience Participation
This show has qualities a lot like Turtle Talk with Crush at The Seas in Epcot. The show doesn’t work without an audience. Guests can sit and ask and answer questions with the monsters. They talk to you, you talk to them. This is great fun! And the more lively the audience the better!
3. New Every Time
Because the Laugh Floor is so heavily interactive, the show is new every time. The basic things stay the same: structure, layout, which monsters you see. But the material has to change. This is a great way to keep an attraction fresh and to keep guests coming back!

4. Favorite Characters
The most lovable monsters ever are back! It’s so cool to see your favorite Monsters Inc. characters again, and some new friends too! Mike Wazowski and Roz make appearances along with new members of the monster comedy scene, including Mike’s nephew Marty!
5. Text in Joke
One of the coolest things about this attraction is the joke send in! Before you enter the auditorium, Mike comes out and invites everyone to send their best joke to the Laugh Floor! You do this via text while you wait in the queue. Your joke might even be selected to be read in the show!
6. For Everyone
Another really cool thing about this attraction is that it’s for everyone! Since it’s an attraction, there’s no height limit or anything like that. It’s not scary or too intense. It’s just silly and fun! This allows everyone in the family to enjoy this attraction together and have a great time!
7. Continuation of the Story
At the beginning of the show, Mike comes out and explains how the Laugh Floor came to be. Remember, Monsters Inc. used to have the slogan “We scare because we care.” Everything’s changed now! The Laugh Floor is a direct result of what Mike, Sully, and Boo went through in the movie.
8. Monstropolis
And in order to continue the story, you have to believe you are a part of it. The Laugh Floor does this beautifully by making you feel like you are inside Monstropolis. The whole Laugh Floor is designed and decorated just like it was in the movie. From laughter banners covering the old scare motto to cans of laughter captures, Monstropolis is incredibly real and fun.
