8 Things You’ll Love About The Crystal Palace At Walt Disney World

If you’ve ever visited Magic Kingdom, you’ve probably noticed the gorgeous building nestled at the end of Main Street near the entrance to Adventureland. After all, it’s hard to miss such a pretty sight. From its pristine white paint and large shining windows to the amazing architecture of the place, it tends to leave guests staring in awe as they meander past. That said, the building is even better inside than it is outside. So what is this lovely white building? It’s the amazing Crystal Palace, a restaurant that every Disney goer should try at least once. Here are the top 8 reasons we adore this buffet-style eatery.

1. Take Advantage of Reservation Times

There once was a time when making an early morning reservation at Crystal Palace would get you into the park before everyone else. This was pretty cool because it meant you could snap photos of the park with nobody in the background, and get a feel for what the park is like before opening. With the new opening show in place, this benefit is gone for Crystal Palace diners—though there is still a slight touring advantage for those who can snag early Be Our Guest or Cinderella’s Royal Table reservations. However, there is still one super awesome advantage: By making an 8am breakfast reservation at Crystal Palace, you will be able to get in a good hearty meal and meet several characters before your park day ever officially begins. This will leave you ready to get started as soon as you walk out of the restaurant. Another great reservation time is right around 10:30am. This is when breakfast is ending, so you’ll be charged breakfast price, but you can easily extend the meal for 90 minutes or more and count it as lunch, saving you a few bucks.

2. Characters

Characters? That’s right, I did say characters. Crystal Palace offers character dining all day long. Bring autograph books and get ready to meet some of your Hundred Acre Wood friends such as Pooh, Piglet, Eeyore, and Tigger. Each and every one of these friends is just as friendly and cuddly as you might expect, and they’re all happy to pose for photos.

3. Fun and Games

Besides the usual character meet-and-greets, there is also some added fun that happens here and there throughout your meal. A character-led “Friendship Parade” files through the dining room on a regular basis, and all kids are invited to join in. Additionally, you might happen to see Tigger pulling a prank on a fellow guest.

4. Tasty Fare

As if the fun this eatery offers wasn’t enough, they also have a super tasty menu. From made-to-order omelettes and stuffed French toast at breakfast to the incredible carving station available at lunch and dinner, you’re sure to love everything you put on your plate at this awesome buffet. In fact, we’d even go so far as to say this is one of the best buffets on property.

5. Amazing Location

Whether you’re looking for a meal at the beginning of the day as you head into the park, or later on in the day after hours of walking, you’re sure to find the location of Crystal Palace as convenient as it possibly could be. This is because the restaurant is situated in a fairly central location, meaning it won’t be too far to walk no matter where you happen to be when your tummy feels rumbly.

6. Fair Pricing

Everyone knows that food at Disney World is expensive. This is especially true for the character meals. That said, Crystal Palace is one of the least expensive character dining experiences in all of Disney World. This fact, combined with the amazing food, makes this eatery a surprising good value.

7. Friendly Hospitality

One of the things we immediately noticed on our first visit to Crystal Palace was the amazing hospitality of the staff. The hostess was kind and offered us glasses of ice water. Meanwhile, our waiter was quick to bring out our drinks and checked on us multiple times throughout the meal. Disney service is always great, but the service here outshines the service at many other Disney buffets.

8. Gorgeous Decor

We mentioned the beauty of the Crystal Palace building’s exterior earlier. What we didn’t mention is the gorgeous interior of the place. From an incredible atrium—complete with live plants and topiaries—to chandeliers and floor-to-ceiling windows, the elegance and brightness of this restaurant is sure to leave you in good spirits.

We hope this article inspires you to give Crystal Palace a try on your next trip to the most magical place on earth. If so, we know you won’t be disappointed!
