8 Things You’ll Love About Storybook Dining at Artist Point in Walt Disney World

Artist Point has been the signature dining restaurant at Wilderness Lodge ever since it opened. That said, the eatery never really caught on and has been due for some updates for quite some time now. Luckily, Disney stepped in and made some changes that are truly fantastic, turning this food stop from an “okay” option into one of the most sought-after dining experiences on property. Enter Storybook Dining at Artist Point. This is Disney World’s newest character dining option, and is already easily one of the very best out there. Everything about the experience is magical, and guests of all ages are sure to love the amazing attention to detail found here. Here are 8 things you’ll love about this character dining experience.

1. Upscale Experience

Let’s begin by describing the overall experience. In a word, this restaurant could be described as upscale. From the moment you walk in the door of the eatery you’ll feel like royalty, and everything is presented in the most beautiful and elaborate manner possible. As contradictory as it may seem, this is fine dining with characters, and it is executed perfectly.

2. Join the Story

Another unique thing about this character dining experience is the fact that guests are pulled into the story. Everything revolves around the Snow White fairytale, and diners are actually playing a role in the story while they dine. Obviously, this immersive experience makes for a super fun and memorable meal that everyone will enjoy.

3. Lovely Decor

Because this is an immersive experience, you will definitely see plenty of theming. In fact, the entire place is made to look like an enchanted forest with greenery all around. That said, there is also plenty to admire besides the theming. The dining room is lovely and boasts high ceilings, a gorgeous color scheme, and stunning furnishings. This of course adds to the upscale feeling of the place, and really gets you in a royal mood.

4. Amazing Servicestunn

Obviously, a meal this amazing requires impeccable service. Fortunately, the staff does not disappoint on this front. Guests are waited on hand and foot throughout the meal. Everything is brought out in a timely manner, and the attention each table receives is unbelievable.

5. Yummy Themed Food

The food is, as one would imagine, absolutely incredible. Every plate is seasoned and cooked to perfection and the presentation is out of this world. However, the coolest thing about the food at this restaurant is the fact that it is themed. That’s right, each and every appetizer, entree, and dessert has a Snow White theme. This means you might enjoy “Hunter’s Pie” as an appetizer, “Brothers Grimm Roasted Chicken” as your entree, and a “Poison Apple” as your dessert. Clearly, this is all very fun, and since the appetizers and desserts are brought out on a shared tray, you can try a little of each amazingly themed option.

6. …and Themed Drinks

Besides the food, there are also a number of cocktails and non-alcoholic specialty drinks that are also themed. These are quite possibly even more fun than the themed food, including such options as “The Smoking Mirror” (which actually includes a smoking glass) and “Transformation Lemonade” (which changes colors through the use of a magic potion).

7. Favorite Characters

As you know, character dining has to include characters, and this particular meal has some really great ones. Snow White herself visits each and every table during the meal, taking photos and giving out autographs. Her friends Grumpy and Dopey are never far behind, and also make sure to greet each table in the dining room. The fourth character at this meal—the Evil Queen—is not so friendly. For this reason, she remains at her station during the experience, where guests are welcome to visit her and take photos. Why are these such great characters? Well, Snow White can be seen in the parks on a regular basis, but is still fun to meet thanks to her sweet personality. However, Dopey and Grumpy are rarely seen in the parks, and the Evil Queen is even more rare, making these amazing meetings you aren’t likely to have ever again.

8. “Poison Apple” Signature Card

Forgot your autograph book? No worries! This restaurant actually provides diners with an apple-shaped signature card. Use this card to gather signatures of your favorite friends and return home with an awesome souvenir to help you remember your fabulous dining experience

If you haven’t had a chance to dine at the new and improved Artist Point, we highly recommend it. The whole meal is absolutely magical and one of a kind, making it the ideal way to celebrate a special vacation or add a bit of extra happiness to your Disney trip.
