8 Best Photo Spots in Walt Disney World’s Hollywood Studios

Any photographers out there? Maybe you’re a professional, or you just love capturing that perfect, magical shot while at Disney. Either way, you want to make sure you track down the best photo spots around. Well, here are our 8 picks in Hollywood Studios:

1. On Hollywood Boulevard

What a classic view. This is the first view guests see when walking into Hollywood Studios. It has everything you could possibly want from a first sight: palm trees, old fashioned buildings, classic billboards, and the magnificent Chinese Theatre in the background. Keep an eye out for Cast Members to take your picture with Memory Maker for a magical shot! Bonus: stick around at night for one of the nighttime spectacular shows against the theatre for a one-of-a-kind picture!

2. On Sunset Boulevard

From the palm trees lining the street, to the magnificent view of Tower of Terror at the end, Sunset Boulevard is a treat. The cool thing about this spot is that your photo is going to come out great no matter where in the street you stand. Every angle of the boulevard will make a beautiful shot. Bonus: super amazing view of Tower of Terror during Christmastime when the tower is all lit up and festive!

3. Top of the Fantasmic! Arena

Fantasmic! is one of the most beloved fireworks shows in Disney. There is so much involved in this short show. Dozens of your favorite characters, drama, water displays, puppetry, and, of course, fireworks. With so much happening, there are amazing shots to be captured. The Fantasmic! arena is huge and sweeping, so from the top, you can kind of pick your preferred angle.

4. Top of Tower of Terror

This one is clearly only for the brave hearted. I think you’d probably need a GoPro or something like that for a shot on this ride. The Tower of Terror is notably a scary, intense ride. But the very top (before you, you know, plummet) guests get a phenomenal, unique view of the whole park and surrounding property. Bonus: this shot at sunset is out of this world!

5. In Front of Millennium Falcon

The fastest hunk of junk in the galaxy – Galaxy’s Edge, that is. This iconic spacecraft is an exact replica of the one the classic Star Wars films. When walking into Galaxy’s Edge, you enter a courtyard with the Falcon at its center. This provides an unbelievable photo opportunity. Whether you want just the ship, or to pose like a scoundrel in front of it, you have the perfect backdrop: rugged and authentic, beautiful and so, so cool.

6. Toy Story Land Entrance

Toy Story Land opens a world of endless fun and possibilities for kids and kids at heart alike. It is bursting with detail and color. It makes for some amazing pictures! One of the bests in this land is right at the entrance. The moment you enter you are shrunk down to toy size. Woody, Jessie, and Rex greet you while Slinky Dog zooms behind. Jessie and Rex are stringing Christmas lights to add that extra pop to your shot!

7. With Gertie on Echo Lake

Echo Lake often gets passed by in Hollywood Studios, but it has so much to offer! Between the various quick serve stands, restaurants, and Indiana Jones area, it’s a great area. Because you can walk around the entire lake, it also has some awesome photo opportunities. But the most important shot would have to include Gertie, the huge green dinosaur sticking out from the water! Bonus: find him at Christmastime to snap a picture with his Santa hat and ornament!

8. From the Skyliner

Disney’s Skyliner system enables guests to travel more freely between the various Parks and resorts. But it also means that there’s a really cool, unique photo spot to explore! The gondolas allow stunning views from high in the sky that you wouldn’t be able to get any other way. The possibilities here are endless because you get to decide where exactly you want the shot to be for a picture perfect Disney memory.
