7 Awesome Things You Won’t Regret Buying At Walt Disney World

Souvenirs play a big part in any vacation, and especially one at Walt Disney World. At times, the parks feel like one big gift shop and it’s easy to get inundated with the run-of-the-mill souvenirs. But does anyone really need another shirt with the Fab Five and the year? No. What you do need is unique souvenirs that will actually remind you of your vacation. Here’s seven ideas for awesome souvenirs you may not already have!

7. Customized MagicBands

Ever since MagicBands first rolled out, guests have been looking for ways to make them their own. There are charms and sliders available to jazz up plain bands, and even special event bands available, like Christmas time ones. Now, guests can customize their very own MagicBands. There are two locations to customize, Tomorrowland in Magic Kingdom, and Disney Springs (these locations also offer customizable phone and iPad covers). MagicBands can be personalized with guests’ name or with forty different graphics to choose from. Customized bands can either be activated and connected to your account right away, or given as a gift.

6. Fine Art

Walt Disney World may have a reputation as being for kids, but there is fine art around every corner. Take a step inside one of the several Art of Disney stores to find paintings of your favorite Disney characters or films. Here guests will also find sketches and small sculptures. Or, peek in the Crystal Arts (one of my favorite places on property!) to ooh and ahh over the one-of-a-kind blown glass figurines, wedding cake toppers, and glassware. Another favorite of mine is the handmade pieces found in Harambe Village (Disney’s Animal Kingdom) and in Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge. I love looking at the animal statuettes, masks, and drums, because each one is different. These are some of my go-to for gifts! Last but not least, World Showcase in Epcot is treasure trove of unique art pieces. My pick is the Italy pavilion where you can find handmade masks. At any of these locations, Cast Members will help you package your purchases to get them home safely– whether you pack them in a carry-on, a checked bag, or mail it home.

5. TAG

The Marketplace Co-op store at Disney Springs holds Disney TAG Travel-Accessories-Gear. It features tons of brightly stylized travel products with Disney flair. Guests will find luggage, tags, neck pillows, eye masks, and other travel necessities. The shop itself is full of Disney touches, like the Departures and Arrivals Board, and hidden Mickeys outside of the “plane windows.” Many of these products can be found on the Shop Disney Parks app, so you can get them before you leave home and use them on your vacation, which makes a lot more sense than getting something for only half your trip, right?

4. H2O Bath Products

Disney has a great line of bath products featuring a whole array of soaps, lotions, shampoos and conditioners. The products come in scents like Blushing Orange (like the soaps you find in your hotel room), and Grapefruit Bergamot, and Sea Salt. Get them in full size bottles or travel sized totes. These soaps can make a great souvenir, because you can take the scents of your vacation home with you. Plus, I think practical souvenirs and gifts are the best kind.

3. Pandora Charms

Disney Pandora charms have become incredibly popular and Disney is in on the action! Disney offers more and more designs every season. The appeal of charm bracelets is the longevity– you can add another charm on each vacation. And with so many new designs, there’s always something new to pick from.

2. Tsum Tsums

Kids love the plushie characters. Everyone loves games. So a game and toy system makes perfect sense. The Tsum Tsums come in a huge variety of characters and sizes, from tiny to pillow sized. For big Tsum Tsum fans, there’s also clothing, decor, and dishes emblazoned with the cute little tsums.

1. Star Wars

Star Wars merchandise has taken Hollywood Studios and Disney Springs by storm! Anything and everything that can be Star Wars, is. There’s clothes, toys, Lego sets, mugs, even a Dooney and Bourke designer purse! The piece de resistance is an app-enabled BB8 droid! There’s everything an avid Star Wars fan could ever want!

Don’t forget, guests staying in a Disney hotel can have their souvenirs sent back to their hotel, just let the Cast Member ringing you up know. Packages take up to 24 hours to get to you, so this service isn’t for your last day.

About Robin Swanson

Robin’s Disney journey began with Beauty and the Beast bedsheets, a Jasmine dress up set, and a purring Nala plush. As a child in the 1990s, the renaissance and classic animations alike captivated her imagination. In 2008, Robin visited Walt Disney World for the first time, and the obsession really took hold. Since then, Robin has enjoyed visiting the Happiest Place on Earth many more times. She lives in the Chicago suburbs where she is wrapping up a Masters in writing. When not at Disney World, Robin enjoys researching fairytales, eating ice cream, Netflix binging, reading and, of course, planning the next Walt Disney World vacation!
