This cherished event brings seasonal traditions from around the globe to life through holiday kitchens, festive music, and dazzling decorations.

Whether you’re sampling delicious treats like gingerbread or watching the awe-inspiring Candlelight Processional, there’s something for everyone. But if you’re looking for a hidden gem during your visit, make sure to check out one of EPCOT’s most unique holiday offerings: the Living with the Land Glimmering Greenhouses overlay.

This fan-favorite ride, tucked inside the Land Pavilion, takes on a whole new personality during the holidays. Typically, Living with the Land showcases sustainable farming and the science behind agriculture, but for the holiday season, it’s all about twinkling lights and festive displays. The boat ride glides past familiar greenhouses now brimming with holiday cheer, including Mickey-shaped topiaries dressed as reindeer, a family of snowmen lit up in colorful lights, and towers of presents nestled among the plants.

One of the most magical touches is the glittering tunnel of lights that adds a glowing finale to the experience. It’s the perfect way to unwind and enjoy the slower, softer side of EPCOT amidst the hustle and bustle of the festival. For many, the ride feels like a peaceful cruise through a Christmas light display—with the added bonus of Disney’s attention to detail.

If this sounds like a must-see, don’t wait too long! The Glimmering Greenhouses overlay is only available through December 30, and crowds tend to gather for this seasonal twist. While Living with the Land is usually a walk-on attraction, expect to wait a bit longer during the holidays.

For those planning a holiday visit to EPCOT, the Living with the Land overlay offers a cozy and unique experience that perfectly balances education and seasonal joy. It’s a reminder of how Disney blends creativity and innovation, even in unexpected places like a greenhouse.
