Disney World Discounts Christmastime Stays After Canceling Two Holiday Traditions
Amid Walt Disney World Resort’s halfway to the holidays announcements this week were the return of the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at Magic Kingdom Park, and Disney Jollywood Nights at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Unfortunately, Disney also confirmed that several fan-favorite festive offerings would not be returning in 2026, including the life-size Gingerbread House at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa and the Cinderella Castle Dream Lights at the Magic Kingdom. The good news? Walt Disney World Resort has introduced a hotel discount to soften the blow of the retired Christmas celebrations.
Walt Disney World Christmas Resort Discount
On June 24, Walt Disney World Resort revealed a hotel discount for guests spending the most wonderful time of the year at The Most Magical Place on Earth. Beginning Thursday, June 25, families will be able to save as much as 20% on select stays in the Disney Resorts Collection from October 4 through December 24, 2026.
Luckily, this discount applies to anyone booking a Walt Disney World Resort hotel stay during the selected date range. Guests need not be Disney+ subscribers, Annual Passholders, Florida residents, or Disney Vacation Club (DVC) members to save up to 20% on their Halloweentime or Christmastime stays.
Additional Deals For Select Guests
Though the up to 20% holiday room discount applies to all guests, some families may save more on their late 2026 Walt Disney World Resort vacations.
Disney+ subscribers enrolled in the free Disney+ Perks program can receive a free Park Hopper add-on and save up to 25% when purchasing a four-night, four-day room and ticket package. This offer is available beginning Thursday, June 25, for stays from September 25 through October 8, October 19 through 31, November 15 through 28, and December 13 through 24.
Also starting June 25, Florida residents can save up to 25% on stays from October 19 through October 31, November 15 through November 28, and December 13 through December 24.
Annual Passholders can save up to 30% on select rooms in the Disney Resort Collection from October 4 through December 24.
