Walt Disney World is an absolutely amazing vacation destination with endless opportunities for guests to have fun and enjoy themselves. Guests who spend time at the location can explore four theme parks, two water parks, over two dozen Disney Resorts, and Disney Springs and experience attractions, entertainment, dining, shopping, recreation, and more. With each experience at Walt Disney World being so magical, there are plenty of things that each guest can be thankful for after their vacations. From behind the scenes work and Cast Members to special experiences and complimentary perks, there are plenty of things in Walt Disney World that help to make the magic each and every day. Here are ten things at Walt Disney World that guests are thankful for.

1. Walt’s Vision

All guests who visit Walt Disney World should be thankful for Walt Disney’s inspiration and vision which made it all possible. Disney was a driven and imaginative man whose ideas and creativity helped to create the wonderful experiences that guests can enjoy each and every day. While exploring Walt Disney World, guests should definitely be thankful for Walt Disney’s vision.

2. Cast Members

The biggest thing that guests should be thankful for is the enormous force of Cast Members who help to run the parks. There are thousands of Cast Members employed in Walt Disney World and they hold jobs ranging from managerial to custodial. Every Cast Member is sure to help out a guest with any need and they are always friendly and welcoming to all.

3. Mousekeeping

Guests who enjoy a vacation in Walt Disney World and stay on property in a Disney Resort should also be thankful for a special service that helps to keep things clean. Instead of traditional housekeeping, Walt Disney World has mousekeeping, a wonderful service of hard working Cast Members who help to keep the Disney Resorts and guest rooms cleanly at all times.

Guests can enjoy Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party in the Magic Kingdom and the Epcot Flower and Garden Festival and Epcot International Food and Wine Festival in Epcot each year.

5. Live Entertainment

Some of the most amazing experiences in Walt Disney World are shows featuring live entertainment and incredibly talented Cast Members. Guests can enjoy lots of live music throughout Disney Springs and Disney’s Animal Kingdom at night as well as wonderful live shows like Beauty and the Beast – Live on Stage and Voyage of the Little Mermaid in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

6. Details

One of the biggest things that guests should be thankful for is also something that they are often totally unaware of! Walt Disney World is so immersive and brought to life through amazing details that were purposely created by the Imagineers. Guests who slow down and really look around them are sure to find amazing details that will help to fully immerse them in whatever area of the parks they are currently in.

7. Hidden Mickeys

An amazing type of detail that guests are especially thankful for are Hidden Mickeys. Hidden Mickeys are located all throughout Walt Disney World and can be found everywhere from décor to rockwork. Guests absolutely love to wander through the parks and try to locate as many Hidden Mickeys as possible, and it is great fun for the whole family as some Hidden Mickeys are very easy to locate and some are extremely difficult.

8. Magical Moments

A great thing about Walt Disney World is how hard Cast Members work to keep the magic alive each and every day. Guests often hear about magical moments where Cast Members might sprinkle some pixie dust on an ordinary moment by offering up a free snack, handing out stickers, or choosing a family to be the Grand Marshall in a parade. These magical moments are enough to make every guest smile and are definitely something to be thankful for.

9. FastPasses

All guests are most definitely thankful for FastPasses which help guests enjoy very popular attractions without losing tons of time to waiting in line. FastPasses allow guests to choose up to three experiences per day and book them in advance to allow them to report at a designated time and enjoy the attraction with little to no wait time. FastPasses are definitely something to be thankful for, especially when the standby line is hours long!

10. Extra Magic Hours

Another perk that many guests are thankful for are Extra Magic Hours. These special times in the parks are available only to guests who are staying on property in a Disney Resort and typically involve one park opening an hour early each morning and another remaining open up to several hours late each evening. Extra Magic Hours offer guests a chance to beat some of the crowds and enjoy popular attractions with much lower wait times than the busy hours of each day.
