For some reason when I think of Walt Disney World dining, seafood is not the first thing that pops into my mind. In reality though, Disney is located in the perfect spot to take advantage of fresh catches from both the Gulf and Atlantic Coasts of Florida. And the chefs at the seafood restaurants at Walt Disney World know how to make the best use of the delicious seafood coming onto property—usually within just a few hours of being caught. Below you will find my list of the 10 best restaurants to enjoy seafood, I tried to combine a mix of table and counter service options:
10. Columbia Harbor House, Magic Kingdom
Columbia Harbor House is probably my favorite quick service restaurant in the Magic Kingdom with the theming, location, great hidden hideaways, and the menu. And there are so many seafood options here to satisfy your cravings! If you want fried, you can get a basket with fried fish or shrimp. The Anchors Aweigh Sandwich features tuna salad, you can find a Shrimp Macaroni & Cheese, a healthier choice of grilled salmon is offered, but my personal favorite is the lobster roll. It is tasty & just seems to fit so well with the colonial Northeast Seacoast theme of this restaurant. If you want something smaller a serving of New England Clam Chowder may be the perfect fit. This is a great choice for a meal at the Magic Kingdom, and there are plenty of choices for the Landlubbers in your group too!
9. Kona Café, Polynesian Resort
Casual resort dining doesn’t get much better than Kona Café and here the seafood that shines is on their sushi menu. Sampler plates are available with multiple pieces of seafood, along with Dragon Rolls and California rolls. If you prefer your seafood cooked you can find several choices on their entrée menu that have an Asian inspired preparation. And some creative appetizer options also like a Tuna Poke. I love dining at Kona Café because the Polynesian is such a beautiful resort, and the seafood on the menu makes it all the more inviting.
8. Narcoossee’s, Grand Floridian
Narcoossee’s is the Grand Floridian Resort’s signature seafood restaurant, and it has earned that designation. The seafood heavy menu has a lot of different preparations and options to satisfy all of your seafood cravings. From the Lobster Bisque and the Barbecue Grilled Shrimp and Grits all the way to the Lobster, Swordfish, Shrimp and Scallop entrees—it is all divine! Freshly caught, freshly prepared and delicious. The coastal theming and airy atmosphere inside the restaurant along with the prime location out over Seven Seas Lagoon make it a perfect spot to enjoy a seafood dinner.

7. Tiffins, Animal Kingdom
I can’t list the best seafood restaurants at Walt Disney World and leave Tiffins at Animal Kingdom off the list. Like most of the dishes here, you have to be a little adventurous to enjoy the seafood options offered. On the appetizer menu is a marinated grilled Octopus. The menu varies and changes seasonally. You may find a grilled fish, or you may find a whole (head on) fried fish. If you are there when they are serving the whole fish I highly recommend it—so fresh and lightly breaded, it was perfect.
6. Flying Fish, Boardwalk
Like Narcoossee’s at the Grand Floridian, Flying Fish is the signature dining experience at the Boardwalk. The menu here lies heavily on seafood, but also changes seasonally. There is an entire section dedicated to Daily Fresh Catches featuring fish like Trout from Idaho, Chilean Sea Bass from Peru and others. Lobster, crab and scallops are offered as enhancements to your meal. The design of the restaurant is modern and sleek with a nod toward the coastal that is fitting for the seafood they serve. One nice thing to note is that many of these restaurants also offer a fish or seafood option on the kids menu, so your seafood loving kiddos will be happy too.
5. California Grill, Contemporary Resort
Another Signature Dining restaurant on our list, the California Grill offers a lot of tasty seafood options, but they are known for their sushi. At dinner they offer at least 6 types of rolls that you can start your meal with, or make your entire meal out of. Seafood entrees are also offered with creative preparations and accompaniments to enhance the flavor of the fish. While it is hard to pass up the pork or filet at California Grill because they are just so good . . . the fish here is also an excellent choice.
4. Cape May Café, Beach Club Resort
This is it. The place to be if you want all the seafood. Cape May Café offers a New England style “clam bake” buffet with all types of seafood at your disposal. Clams, shrimp, crab legs, fish, mussels, you name it—the items offered can vary nightly. But don’t worry there are also very good items on the buffet for non-seafood eaters too. I highly recommend Cape May Café if you have a large group and want to get your seafood fix at Walt Disney World.
3. Yorkshire County Fish Shop, Epcot
This quick service window (with outdoor seating nearby) at Epcot’s United Kingdom pavilion serves up some authentic Fish & Chips. One of my favorite snacks to share while walking around the World Showcase. The menu is pretty simple—you can get 2 strips of fried fish with chips (fries to Americans). And the fish is sooooo good. A very light batter that floats above the tender fish—making my mouth water writing this. The Yorkshire County Fish Shop is a great spot to stop while drinking around the world too, get some sustenance with the fish & chips. And plenty of drink options in the UK.
2. Paddlefish, Disney Springs
Paddlefish is a newer incarnation of what has been various seafood spots aboard the Empress Lilly.  Paddlefish has a sleek, modern style to it with a complete remodel of the paddlewheel boat.  Here the lunch and dinner menus vary, so be sure to go online and see which one suits you best. Either one you choose you will be treated to fresh and delicious seafood and lots of options. So many options! I love that they have a whole section of the menu dedicated to seafood boils with different ingredients and flavors. Paddlefish is sure to be a hit with seafood lovers.
1. The Boathouse, Disney Springs
Again, the Boathouse makes the top of one of my lists. I’ve eaten there several times and have not had a less than great meal yet (although one of my fellow diners was not as thrilled with her seafood entrée). Many times I have enjoyed the daily catch which was under the sea just hours before, brought to the restaurant, and given a great treatment by the chefs. So delicious. I also really like the Cedar Planked Salmon here, but there are so many really good choices on the menu. The raw bar is also a big draw for the Boathouse. And you really can’t beat the beautiful waterfront location with the vintage boats out on their docks.
If there is one thing we’ve learned from this list . . . fish are food! Bruce can try as hard as he likes to convince me otherwise, but I’m not buying it! There are many places to enjoy a delicious seafood meal at Walt Disney World—what is your favorite?
