Method
- Mix together egg and milk whipping thoroughly with a fork to incorporate air. Add dry ingredients and vanilla extract and mix until smooth.
- In a high-sided pan, bring oil to 375°. The depth of oil should be at least 1” add more if needed.
- Pour funnel cake batter into a pastry bag. Gently begin pouring a thin stream of batter into the hot oil, creating the largest circle (Mickey's head) first. Once the batter has begun to stiffen, add Mickey's ears. Fill in the gaps using a quick drizzling motion. Allow batter to stiffen and edges to become golden brown before gently turning to fry the second side.
- Allow funnel cake to drain excess oil on paper towel before dusting with powdered sugar.
