Guest Reveals a Disney World Burger Made Her Decide to End Her Marriage

While a Walt Disney World Resort vacation certainly is a magical experience, it is not one for the weak. A lot of planning goes into creating the trip of a lifetime. There are dozens of hotels to pick from, figuring out how many days you can stay without breaking the bank, figuring out your must-do attractions, deciding if you want to buy Disney Genie+, and so much more.

One of the truly incredible things about Walt Disney World is all the amazing places there are to eat. There are almost 400 delightful places, ranging from snack stands to quick-service counter eateries and fancier dining spots that are like traditional restaurants. You can even dine with some of your favorite Disney characters!

While everyone has their own food preferences and budgetary restrictions, there are some Disney restaurants that many guests just love to dine at over and over again. At Disney’s Animal Kingdom, that place is the Yak & Yeti Restaurant.

Yak & Yeti is located near the popular Animal Kingdom ride, Expedition Everest. The menu is pretty extensive and offers everything from Pork Pot Stickers, Ahi Tuna Nachos, Wonton Soup, Lo Mein Chicken, Miso Salmon, BBQ Ribs, and so much more.

But it is not the delectable Asian dishes that are the center of one woman’s story. In Jubilee Dawn’s case, her order of the Kobe Beef Burger would have one MASSIVE impact on her life. It was the catalyst for her divorce.

In her TikTok video, Jubilee was vacationing at the Most Magical Place on Earth with her husband, “Ted,”, her cousin “Josh,” and Josh’s son,” Asa.” Unfortunately, it was not the vacation she had dreamed of, especially when it came to her now ex-husband and his need to assert his “dominance” over everyone.

According to Jubilee, if her cousin or nephew wanted to do something, her husband demanded they do something else. The tension was slowly building as the days went on.

Then, one day, they decided to enjoy a meal at the Yak & Yeti. Jubilee ordered the Kobe Beef Burger, and when “Josh” saw it, he immediately regretted what he ordered and said that he wished he had ordered the burger as well. Jubilee offered him a bite of her burger, and then cut off a piece and passed “Josh” the piece to enjoy.

That was apparently not something that “Ted” found acceptable.

“Ted” didn’t talk to anyone throughout the rest of the meal and was noticeably upset. However, he was exceptionally kind to the waitress, only reinforcing his anger toward his wife and cousin-in-law.

“We had no idea why he was upset. Like, he did not talk the rest of the dinner… So, finally, we ended up paying, and he was so nice to the waiter. Like, he had been really mean to me and not looking at me, avoiding eye contact, but when the waitress brought the bill, he said “Thank you SO much, it was amazing!” Like, being so sweet.

When the waitress left and “Josh” went to the bathroom, Jubilee asked her husband why he could be nice to the waitress but not to her, and she straight up asked him why he was mad at her.

He then shocked her when he said that she should have offered him, her husband, some of the burger first. He said that she had been “disrespectful” by offering her cousin a bite before him.

Once they left the restaurant, “Ted” continued to scream at her and threatened to “strand” her in Florida.

Throughout their tumultuous marriage, Jubilee admitted that her husband had been abusive. “Ted” would isolate her, not allow her to go out to eat with her father or text her family late at night. He had also tried to strangle her, body-slammed her, and repeatedly called her insulting names.

The next day, the couple returned home. That’s when Jubilee confronted her husband and told her that it was very concerning that he would scream at her in front of her nephew, who was only about 2 or 3 at the time. Her husband then said that he would continue to scream at her in front of children “if she deserved it.”

Jubilee told “Ted” that she would not have children with him. That is when she claims, that he attacked her for the last time.

Thankfully, Jubilee looks back on that vacation and laughs about it with her cousin, “Josh.” They agree that she might still be in an abusive marriage if she had not ordered the Kobe Beef Burger from Yak & Yeti.
