A woman dangerously jumped out of the ride vehicle at the newest Magic Kingdom attraction, causing an immediate emergency stop.

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, the newest coaster in Walt Disney World Resort, continues to be on everyone’s lips. The ride has stirred debate among fans since it was announced that Splash Mountain would be replaced by a new experience inspired by Disney’s The Princess and the Frog (2009) featuring Princess Tiana and her friends.

Sadly, following mixed reactions from fans, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure has had a rocky start. The reimagined attraction has faced operational issues and several breakdowns since its opening at Magic Kingdom on June 28.

As if that weren’t enough, a guest recently caused an emergency shutdown at Magic Kingdom after jumping out of a ride vehicle in horror.

Redditor u/Kekeguy7 recently posted a video showing a woman after she had jumped off a boat in Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, the newest ride in Magic Kingdom.

The guest detailed: “Right before we went on Tiana/splash for the second time (first with VQ, second LL) we noticed the ride was stopped. This woman stepped out of her raft and just stood there, this is obviously extremely dangerous so cast members E-stopped.”

Redditor u/AlliedR2 regretted the incident and its impact on Magic Kingdom guests, commenting, “Because, obviously, the ride hasn’t been down enough on its own.”

Viewers quickly reacted to the incident, condemning the guest’s irresponsible actions, endangering herself and other parkgoers.

Redditor u/enandeGG commented, “If this was just someone being silly and goofy, this is why we can’t have nice things. (I hope the person wasn’t doing it because of an emergency).”

The original poster replied that, while they didn’t witness the moment the woman jumped off the boat, they heard that the woman was scared and kept screaming, “I can’t do it,” before dangerously escaping the vehicle.

Several users demanded the guest be banned from Walt Disney World Resort immediately following her reckless actions. U/Rodrista commented, “This should be an automatic park ban. It’s the one thing you DON’T do on the rides. Pathetic.”

User u/nukii joined the conversation by commenting, “I know someone who panicked and did something like this on the old Splash Mountain, and I’m fairly sure they were banned from riding it ever again. I’m not sure how they would enforce that though.”

Redditor u/MrBarraclough responded, “I’ve never heard of an attraction specific ban, which yes would be unenforceable for any attraction with a standby queue.” They added, “Exiting a ride vehicle outside of a loading area (without being instructed by a CM) usually results in a general ban/trespass warning. Disney doesn’t tolerate guests going ‘backstage’ without permission.”

Of course, hardcore fans of the former Splash Mountain also joined the conversation. Redditor u/Toonami90s commented, “I get it’s a lot worse than Splash Mountain was, but cool down lady.”

From the post, it is unclear what actions cast members and Disney World officials took against the guest, if any.
