Woman Abandons Infant at Disneyland So She Can Ride Space Mountain, Bystanders Step In

Disneyland Park guests recently discovered a baby left alone in a stroller in the middle of Tomorrowland. The infant’s mother was later located in the Space Mountain queue with her travel party.

Disneyland Resort offers a Rider Switch program to help families with small children enjoy attractions without leaving anyone unattended. The service allows one group of riders to wait in the standby line while the other stays with the non-riding guest, then switch without a second long wait. But on this day, the family skipped that option — and the consequences were captured on camera.

Instagram user @tink_loves_disney shared a video and lengthy caption detailing what she witnessed:

🚨 🚨 🚨 🚨 🚨 Baby left in stroller while family went on a ride. 😡 😡 😡 😡 😡 I could not believe this. And the security took so long to get here. But I wasn’t letting her get away. I followed her to Space Mountain. She thought my friend was gonna follow her because my friend gave her some choice words. (well deserved) But I was. And when I saw the security, I went and called them. And told them where she and her family went so they could deal with them. The lady and her husband tried to ditch their stroller and walk away with the baby and their 2 kids. 🤦‍♀️ @diz4lfe #babyleftalone #Disneyland @disneyland #shame #disgusting #parentneglect #mindblown #disbelief

The footage shows Disney cast members gathered around the stroller shortly after the mother reportedly returned from Space Mountain.

“This lady and her husband and two kids left this baby in the stroller while they went on rides,” the Disney Park guest said in the video. “Me and my friend were standing there as she was taking pictures, and I just happened to notice that this stroller was moving.”

@tink_loves_disney and her friend stayed with the baby for about 10 to 15 minutes, repeatedly alerting Disney cast members to the situation.

“Of course, I called security, and all of a sudden, she came running, but we had already been standing here about…ten to fifteen minutes, trying to get somebody over here,” she explained. “I just kept grabbing employees, and I’m like, ‘There is a baby by itself left in this stroller.’”

The witness claimed the stroller had been left facing the sun on the hot pavement while the baby cried. When the parents returned, they allegedly tried to leave quickly with their children. Bystanders alerted security to their location, but it’s unclear whether the family faced consequences from Disneyland Resort.

Disneyland Resort policy states that all guests under 14 must be accompanied by someone aged 14 or older while visiting Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure Park.
