Walt Disney World Resort has reportedly started canceling dining reservations at Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill at Disney Springs, giving guests the clearest indication yet that the restaurant is preparing to close. Cast Members are reportedly contacting guests with reservations beginning September 14 and telling them the restaurant will no longer be open, according to a September 8 report from BlogMickey.
The calls follow days of questions surrounding the Wolfgang Puck Disney Springs closure. September 13 appears to be the restaurant’s final operating date based on reservation availability, but neither Walt Disney World nor Wolfgang Puck has publicly announced a permanent closure as of September 8. That distinction matters: guests are now having reservations canceled even as the restaurant remains publicly listed by both companies.
Disney World Is Reportedly Canceling Wolfgang Puck Reservations
According to BlogMickey, Walt Disney World Cast Members are proactively calling guests who booked Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill for September 14 or later. The report states that Cast Members are canceling those reservations and offering assistance with finding another restaurant.
That makes the situation considerably more concrete for affected vacationers. Disney allows guests to make reservations at many table-service restaurants up to 60 days in advance, meaning dining can be planned well before a Walt Disney World vacation begins, according to Disney’s official dining reservation guidance. A cancellation can therefore force guests to rearrange plans that were settled weeks earlier.
It also goes beyond the reservation-calendar changes previously surrounding the restaurant. Inside the Magic previously reported on the September 13 Wolfgang Puck closure date, noting that no replacement had been announced for the Disney Springs location.
September 13 Appears to Be the Final Day
The reported calls line up with the restaurant’s disappearing availability after September 13. Disney still maintains an official Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill webpage identifying the location as a casual, à la carte restaurant at Disney Springs and noting that reservations are strongly recommended.
Wolfgang Puck’s own official Orlando restaurant page also remained online as of September 8. It lists the restaurant at 1514 E. Buena Vista Drive in Disney Springs and continues to display operating hours and a reservation option.
That creates an unusual disconnect. Guests are reportedly being told directly that future reservations cannot be honored, while the public-facing restaurant pages remain active and neither company has published a closure statement.

Disney’s current dinner menu still includes pizzas, pastas and entrees ranging from rigatoni Bolognese to Viennese chicken schnitzel. The restaurant has also participated in Disney Springs dining events; Disney Parks Blog included Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill in its 2024 Flavors of Florida lineup.
Another Change for Disney Springs Dining

Guests displaced from Wolfgang Puck therefore have alternatives, although availability for a particular date and party size can vary.

Until that changes, the permanent status should be treated as reported rather than formally announced.
