Epcot’s World Showcase is a major part of guests’ experience bringing culture, cuisine and architecture from around the world to one location. Here guests can eat food from Japan while having a drink from Germany and then take a ride through Mexico. Now more than ever there is more to see, do and of course eat in Epcot’s World Showcase. Learn what exciting new experiences are on the horizon for Epcot’s World Showcase moving forward.
1. Mary Poppins Attraction
We will start off with the biggest surprise of them all a Mary Poppins themed attraction coming to the United Kingdom Pavilion. Disney announced that guests will be able to step in time down Cherry Tree line right into the Banks’ house #17. Beyond this information, and the art release for the attraction, not much is known at the time. All we do know is that the popular Mary Poppins will be receiving her very own attraction and that is supercalifragilistic.
2. Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure
Work is already well under way on the newest ride coming to the World Showcase. Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure will be located in the France Pavilion. Here guests will be shrunk down to the size of Remy where they are able to help him throughout his adventures in Paris. Already a guest favorite in Disneyland Paris, this ride will be opening in Epcot in 2020. Using 3D affects and a new, innovative trackless ride system, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure is going to be a crowd favorite.
3. Beauty and the Beast Sing Along
Although we don’t know many details, the new Beauty and the Beast Sing Along has been highly anticipated by guests. With a hopeful opening in January 2020, this new production will be sharing time with the classic Impressions de France. With Don Hahn, producer of the animated and live action productions, working on the performance it is sure to be a tale we won’t want to miss.

4. Epcot Forever
Illuminations: Reflections of Earth will be closing at the end of September after a near 20 years of amazing guests at night. Starting on October 1st, Epcot Forever we debut for guests to enjoy. This show will be a collection of imagination, fireworks, music, lights, lasers and kites that will bring back the sounds and memories of Epcot throughout the years. Epcot Forever will celebrate the past, present and future of Epcot with spectacular displays on World Showcase Lagoon. Guests heading down in 2020 will want to make time to see this limited time evening show.
5. HarmonioUS
Following Epcot Forever, it was announced at D23 that HarmonioUS will be the newest evening show at Epcot. This show is said to be the largest nighttime spectacular seen. With massive floating sets, moving fountains, lights, pyrotechnics, lasers and more guests will be amazed at this outstanding show. Be prepared to be inspired as music and storytelling brings us all together.
6. Skyliner
Opening at the end of the month (September 29th) will be the highly anticipated Disney’s Skyliner. This new transportation system will allow guests to travel between resorts as well as Epcot and Hollywood Studios. With a major hub located in the World Showcase (back by France) access to the World Showcase will be easier than ever before. Catching dinner, drinks, and entertainment at Epcot will be a breeze with the skyliner dropping guests off right at the International Gateway entrance. Moving forward, guests will want to take advantage of this opportunity when planning their trips.
7. New Films
Two new and updated films are coming to Disney’s World Showcase. O’ Canada will be replaced in early 2020 with Canada Far and Wide. New scenes and stories will be brought to guests in a fantastic 360-degree Circlevision. In the China Pavilion, a new updated film called Wondrous China will take guests on a journey across the country in the same 360-degree film as Canada is using. These two films will bring guests a great option during crowded, hot times in Disney.
8. New Food Option
With all the delicious food options throughout the World Showcase, it is hard to imagine more coming but this is the case. In the France Pavilion, guests will be able to enjoy either a quick service or table service creperie called La Creperie de Paris. Brought to the area by famous Chef Jerome Bocuse, this will allow guests to enjoy a delicious and authentic crepe while visiting World Showcase.
Epcot will be going through enormous changes throughout the next few years and World Showcase is no exception. From the soon opening Disney Skyliner to Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, there are so many amazing new adventures coming to Epcot’s World Showcase.
