Warning to Disney Park Guests Today as Line Spirals Out of Control
If you plan on visiting Disneyland Resort today, be prepared for some lengthy lines.
Disney parks are known for their larger-than-life experiences, but they’re also infamous for their massive crowds. On peak days, wait times for top attractions can soar past two hours, with walkways packed shoulder to shoulder, making it tough to move—let alone find a good spot for the parade.
Holidays, summer, and big events like Halloween and Christmas turn Disney parks into a full-blown crowd marathon, with wait times skyrocketing and Lightning Lane passes selling out before lunch. If you’re not booking early, you’re stuck in a sea of people all trying to do the same thing—avoid the lines.
But packed parks aren’t just a holiday thing anymore. Post-COVID, crowd patterns are way harder to predict, leading to random surge days that feel like peak season even when they shouldn’t. Today’s chaos is just another reminder: at Disney, there’s no such thing as a guaranteed “slow day” anymore.
Lines Spiral Out of Control at Disneyland Resort
Images shared by MouseInfo show incredibly long lines at Disneyland Resort today as guests attempt to get through security at the Toy Story Parking Area.
So this is the back of the line to get through security at Toy Story. It fully switches back once you get through the gates and then the lines at security are fully back to the white barricades.

As per further updates, the wait times for buses transporting guests from Toy Story Parking to Disneyland Resort were low. However, it still took 45 minutes to board the bus after joining the security line.
This isn’t the first time Disneyland Resort has experienced crazy crowds at the weekend. Lately, this has proven to be a common occurrence, with security lines also out of control in February. In that instance, the crowds were linked to Anaheim cheer competitions.
The same was true back in December when the security line overflowed all the way to the Uber lot. Again, the crowds in that instance had another logical explanation as both local residents and tourists flocked to celebrate the holidays at the Happiest Place on Earth.
Battling Crowds at Disneyland
If you’re hitting Disneyland on a crowded day (which, let’s be real, is most days), Lightning Lane Multi Pass is your best friend. This paid service lets you book a slot to skip the long lines for many rides, including Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway, Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT!, Incredicoaster, and WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure.
However, if you don’t want to splash out on the Multi Pass – or just want to skip each park’s busiest attractions – you can buy a Lightning Lane Single Pass for Radiator Springs Racers at Disney California Adventure Park and Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance at Disneyland Park.
If you find the idea of booking your timeslot too restrictive, you can buy a Lightning Lane Premier Pass to secure a one-time entry to each available Lightning Lane experience in both parks, whenever you want. This can be purchased up to seven days before your park visit, starting at 7 a.m. Pacific Time.
Do you think crowds have got worse at Disneyland lately?
