Tomorrowland Terrace is a quick service dining location at the Magic Kingdom. We have confirmed that for a limited time, the restaurant will exclusively offer Mobile Ordering. This means that the location will only accept food orders via the Mobile Ordering feature within the My Disney Experience app. Guests are able to order, pay and alert the restaurant when they are there, all from the app. The location is expected to exclusively use the service through November 11th. This means that there will be no ordering lines open for guests to order in person during that time.
Mobile Ordering is a new feature within My Disney Experience that was released earlier in 2017 and then progressively launched to various quick service locations around Walt Disney World. With the service, guests are able to order and pay for their meal via My Disney Experience on their phones. Once they arrive at the restaurant, they can check the “I am here” button and the location will start prepping their food. Guests receive a notification when their food is ready and which window to go and pick up the food from. If you are on the Disney Dining Plan, unfortunately you won’t be able to to use the service since it currently isn’t synced with the Disney Dining Plans.
We are unsure if this trial run could mean that there is a possibility that it will be a permanent offering in the future. We are also unsure if this could mean that 100% use of Mobile Ordering is coming to other quick service locations around Walt Disney World, too.
We will keep you posted as we learn more. What would you all think of quick service restaurants only allowing Mobile Ordering to order and pay for meals?
