Disney has announced that Portobello Country Italian Trattoria located at Disney Springs in Walt Disney World will be closing for a lengthy refurbishment. This dining location is expected to completely close its doors on April 23rd in order for the refurbishment to begin. The restaurant will remain closed until sometime in the fall of 2017. There is no specific date set for the re-opening, just that it will be sometime in the fall, barring no delays or issues. This popular Italian restaurant in Disney Springs will be receiving a makeover, updated theme and a new menu. The re-opening is supposed to bring an even more authentic Italian feel to the location with a new, family-friendly menu to match.
The menu will be created by an award-winning chef, Chef Tony Mantuano. The restaurant is owned and operated by Levy Restaurants. This company also owns and operates Paddlefish, which is also located in Disney Springs. Disney has been working diligently to provide unique, upscale dining and shopping experiences throughout Disney Springs. The area has been completely transformed from the Downtown Disney theming and is coming together as a stunningly beautiful location to stroll through and enjoy the culinary delights. The big names keep rolling into the area and we love them all.
We can’t wait to see what the Portobello refurbishments bring! We will keep you posted as we learn specific details on the changes.
