Disney has announced that Portobello Country Italian Trattoria located at Disney Springs in Walt Disney World will be closing for a lengthy refurbishment. This dining location is expected to completely close its doors on April 23rd in order for the refurbishment to begin. Â The restaurant will remain closed until sometime in the fall of 2017. Â There is no specific date set for the re-opening, just that it will be sometime in the fall, barring no delays or issues. Â This popular Italian restaurant in Disney Springs will be receiving a makeover, updated theme and a new menu. Â The re-opening is supposed to bring an even more authentic Italian feel to the location with a new, family-friendly menu to match.
The menu will be created by an award-winning chef, Chef Tony Mantuano. Â The restaurant is owned and operated by Levy Restaurants. Â This company also owns and operates Paddlefish, which is also located in Disney Springs. Â Disney has been working diligently to provide unique, upscale dining and shopping experiences throughout Disney Springs. Â The area has been completely transformed from the Downtown Disney theming and is coming together as a stunningly beautiful location to stroll through and enjoy the culinary delights. Â The big names keep rolling into the area and we love them all.
We can’t wait to see what the Portobello refurbishments bring! Â We will keep you posted as we learn specific details on the changes.
